A speaker system functioning as a stand capable of power supply to a mobile phone and hand-free communication and being capable of derived surround reproduction or stereo reproduction is provided. An enclosure (), on which a mobile phone is placed, includes therein supply means () for supplying electric power to the mobile phone, communication means () for enabling hand-free communication by the mobile phone through a microphone (), processing means for introducing signals from the mobile phone and performing a predetermined processing, and a pair of speakers (') provided on both sides of the enclosure in a state in which back sides thereof are substantially face to each other for generating sounds based on output signals from the processing means.

Speaker system

Ring magnets () are concentrically placed with certain spacings () on a magnetic frame (). The magnetic members on the magnets () are removed, and the magnets are arranged so that the polarities of adjacent magnets ()are alternately opposite to each other, thus forming a magnetic circuit. Ribs () are provided to a planar vibrating plate () and a voice coil () fabricated by vertically stacking conductive wires annularly is attached to the planar vibrating plate (). The planar vibrating plate () is secured to a frame () through a gasket (). The voice coil () is inserted into magnetic gaps of spacings (). Since no magnetic body is placed over the magnets (), the height of the magnetic circuit can be low, and an increase of the reactance due to provision of the magnetic body of the voice coil () does not occur. Since the rigidity of the planar vibrating plate () is high, it is unnecessary to secure the planar vibrating plate () to the frame () while applying a tension.
