An object of the present invention is to provide a new insecticidal compound by paying attention to the insecticidal activity contained in the flower part of marigold, and to provide an insecticide containing the compound as an active ingredient. There are provided an insecticidal compound represented by the following chemical formula: [Formula 1], and an insecticide containing the insecticidal compound as an active ingredient or an insecticide containing, as active ingredients, the insecticidal compound and an insecticidal compound represented by the following chemical formula: [Formula 2], wherein the insecticide can exhibit extraordinary insecticidal efficacy compared with existing pyrethroid-based insecticidal compounds.

A cartridge for insecticide transpiration includes an annular hollow structure which has openings in the inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface thereof; a core portion situated at the center of the hollow structure for connecting to the rotation support shaft; a plurality of spoke portions connecting the core portion and the hollow structure; and blade portions integrally formed with the hollow structure so as to extend from the inner peripheral surface toward the center thereof and adapted to promote passing of air from the inner peripheral surface to the outer peripheral surface of the hollow structure, and; an insecticide transpiration apparatus wherein a cartridge for insecticide transpiration accommodating granular chemical-impregnated materialin the hollow structure is connected to a motor through the rotation support shaft and the cartridge for insecticide transpiration. The insecticide transpiration apparatus make it possible to maintain a stable transpiration performance for a long period of time.

Insecticide transpiration apparatus

There is provided an insecticide transpiration apparatus capable of transpiring insecticide at room temperature. The apparatus includes an apparatus main body having a recipient recess capable of accommodating an insecticide cartridge, an insecticide cartridge rotatably supported in the recipient recess, a driving means which is composed of a motor connected to a rotation support shaft of the insecticide cartridge and an electric source and which is contained in the apparatus main body, and a cover pivoted to the apparatus main body so as to cover the insecticide cartridge in the recipient recess, wherein the insecticide cartridge includes an annular hollow structure which accommodates granular insecticide-impregnated bodies and which has openings in an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface thereof, a core portion situated at the center of the hollow structure and connected to the rotation support shaft, a plurality of spoke portions connecting the core portion and the hollow structure, and blade portions integrally formed with the hollow structure so as to extend from the inner peripheral surface toward the center thereof and adapted to promote passing of air from the inner peripheral surface to the outer peripheral surface of the hollow structure.

An insecticidal mat which is applied to a portable heat-transpiration apparatus and is capable of maintaining the insecticidal effect continuously over 8 hours or more even in an open space, and a heat-transpiration insecticidal method using the same. The insecticidal mat comprises a fibrous mat having a size of 1,000 to 2,500 mm which contains 250 to 600 mg of allethrin as an insecticidal ingredient, 600 to 1,000 mg of piperonyl butoxide as a volatilization controlling agent and 10 to 100 mg of at least one member selected from the group consisting of 2,5-di-t-butylhydroquinone, 3,5-di-t-hydoxytoluene and 3-t-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole as a volatilization controlling agent per mat, wherein the mat is used by setting on a radiation plate which has an area of 1,000 to 2,500 mm , has a temperature of 150 to 190&deg; C. at its central portion, and has a temperature difference between the central portion and its edge portion of 10&deg; C. or less.

Reference numeral,designates an ambient air sucking space portion. Such an example is also included that an ejection surface of the output side hole portion,is formed into a tapered shape of 5 to 20 degrees.

The present invention provides a long-acting insecticidal mat which is applied to the electric mosquito-repellent mat system and is capable of maintaining the insecticidal effect for a long period, not less than five days, and a heat-transpiration insecticidal method using the mat, wherein a fibrous mat which is impregnated with not less than 50 mg per mat of an insecticidal ingredient of pyrethroid having not less than 4.0.times.10.sup.-6 mmHg of vapor pressure at 20.degree. C. is used by means of setting the mat on a radiation plate which has an area of 0.2 to 0.6 time as large as the base area of the mat and has a heating temperature of 70 to 170.degree. C.
