A thrust converter includes reciprocation movement means reciprocation-rotation conversion means for converting reciprocating movement of the reciprocation movement means into rotational movement; rotation-reciprocation conversion means for converting rotational movement of the reciprocation-rotation conversion means; and reaction-force receiving means for supporting reaction force stemming from reciprocation movement of the rotation-reciprocation conversion means. Thrust imparted to the reciprocation movement means can be imparted to a load while being amplified or reduced, through employment of a compact and simple construction.

A method for manufacturing a magnetic head core of a complex magnetic head includes binding a first core material of a U-shaped cross section and a second core material of a flat plate shape to form a tubular core material having two bonded portions between the first and second core materials. Then a plurality of grooves are formed in the tubular core material across one of the bonded portions to form a plurality of track surfaces. The grooves are then filled with a fused glass material, and the other of the bonded portions is removed to form a substantially U-shaped core block having a plurality of track surfaces separated by the glass-filled grooves. The U-shaped core block is then sliced along each of the grooves to obtain a plurality of magnetic head cores. A complex magnetic head manufactured by the method is also disclosed.

A complex magnetic head in which magnetically separated upper and lower rank core chips are spaced apart and connected to a support block made of a nonmagnetic material in such a way as to be in parallel with each other. Each of the upper and lower rank core chips have first, second and third cores. Magnetic gaps, whose track widths are different from each other, are provided between the first and second cores of one of the upper and lower rank core chips and between the second and third cores of the other of the upper and lower rank core chips, respectively.

A motor having a stator which comprises a stator iron core 6 formed by fitting an inner ring magnetic pole portion 10 into an outer ring yoke portion 5, the inner ring magnetic pole portion 10 having slots 8 and magnetic poles 7; an insulating member 11 covering the inner ring magnetic pole portion of the stator iron core; a funnel-like insulating 13 which is formed integrally with the insulating member 11 to cover an end surface 14 of the inner ring magnetic pole portion 10 and which has a first through hole 15 for rotary shaft to communicate with the central portion of the inner ring magnetic pole portion 10 spool frames 23, 24 with pins 28 formed on the magnetic poles 7 so as to be integral with the insulating member 13; a rotor 16 inserted in the inner ring magnetic pole portion; 10; a funnel-like insulating cover 18 having a second through hole 20 for rotary shaft which is in alignment with the first through hole 15, the insulating cover 18 being mounted on the other end surface 12 of the inner ring magnetic pole portion 10 and coils 32, 34 wound on the stator iron core 6 and fitted in the slots 8 in a parallel and crosswise shape, the coils 32, 34 having ends engaged with the pins 28, wherein openings 49 are formed in an outer casing 41 for receiving therein the stator so that the spool frames are inserted in the openings 49; a terminal block 50 connected to a cord for power feeding and supporting electronic devices 52 which are connected with the pins 28 is mounted on the spool frames and a cover 58 is fitted to the outer casing 41.
