A virtual space display system for a self-driving moving body displays a virtual space different from a real environment such that a passenger on the moving body can enjoy the virtual space without feeling strange for a motion. The system includes a display device, a surrounding situation detector, and a virtual space display unit. The surrounding situation detector obtains information specifying features that influence a path along which the moving body is to move, and specifies such an important feature among features located in the surrounding of the moving body that presence/absence of the important feature has an influence on the path of the moving body. The virtual space display unit converts the important feature into an object that is fit for the influence on the path of the moving body based on a predetermined rule, and causes the display device to display the virtual space including the converted object.

An embodiment provides a free-form speaker. In an embodiment, an array type electrostatic speaker is provided. In anther embodiment, a passive element that is separate from an object including an electrode is provided. The free-form speakers are lightweight and flexible, making the speakers suitable for use in a variety of unconventional implementations. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Spatial free-form interactive speakers

According to one implementation, a sonic field sound system includes a computing platform having a hardware processor and a memory storing a sound modulation software code. The sound system further includes an acoustic object coupled to an input of the computing platform via a capacitance sensing unit. The acoustic object has one or more input interface(s) coupled to an output of the computing platform, and also has a resonant cavity having at least one outlet. The hardware processor is configured to execute the sound modulation software code to generate a waveform for driving the one or more input interface(s) of the acoustic object via the output of the computing platform to produce a sound.

An embodiment provides a free-form electrostatic speaker, including: a three dimensional object body; at least a portion of the three dimensional object body having a free-form electrode layer disposed thereon; the free-form electrode layer being shaped to substantially match the at least a portion of the three dimensional object body; a free-form diaphragm positioned proximate to, and being shaped to substantially match, the free-form electrode layer; and an input element coupled to the free-form electrode layer that accepts input from an external source.
