The invention relates to a skin preparation for external use, which contains a lamellar structure containing a fatty acid monoglyceride as a main component, and vitamin A or a derivative thereof. The skin preparation for external use has high effects of improving skin roughness and suppressing wrinkling, etc., shows neither any offensive smell nor stickiness, and exhibits controlled foaming upon the production thereof.

Skin preparations for external use

Skin preparations for external use and cosmetics which contain a fermented soybean extract prepared by extracting with an organic solvent a fermentation product obtained by treating a soybean extract with one or more microorganisms selected from bifidobacteria. These preparations are excellent in the effects of relieving wrinkles and ameliorating rough skin.

A cosmetic composition for skin use which comprises urea and a buffer comprising disodium hydrogenphosphate and citric acid or a buffer comprising potassium dihydrogenphosphate and disodium hydrogenphosphate, or both, and a cosmetic composition further comprising allantoin. Notwithstanding inclusion of urea which is useful for preventing rough dry skin and maintaining moisturization, the cosmetic composition does not have problems such as an increase in pH and an odor from ammonia produced by urea during storage for a long period of time.

Hyaluronic acid can be produced efficiently and economically by culturing a strain belonging to a Streptococcus, which has hyaluronic acid producing ability, is hyaluronidase-nonproductive and shows anhemolytic property, and then collecting the hyaluronic acid from the resultant culture. The strain may preferably be Streptococcus zooepidemicus, especially, Streptococcus zooepidemicus YIT 2030 (FERM BP-1305). The hyaluronic acid has a high molecular weight and is useful in providing a cosmetic composition having excellent moisturizing effects and superb feeling of application.
