An activated carbon producing system includes a carbonizer for carbonizing cellulose triacetate as cellulose acylate to create carbonized material. A pulverizer pulverizes the carbonized material to obtain granules. An activation device activates the granules to create activated carbon. The activated carbon producing system includes a dispenser for supplying the cellulose triacetate at a plural number of times. A heating furnace is operated at each time after the dispenser operates, for thermally decomposing the cellulose triacetate from the dispenser, to obtain the carbonized material by carbonization. The pulverizer pulverizes the carbonized material in a size equal to or more than 2 mm and equal to or less than 20 mm. Temperature of the heating furnace is equal to or higher than 300 deg. C. and equal to or lower than 600 deg. C.

Packaging for rolled photosensitive material

An image recording material magazine is provided that has a constitution such that a roll-form image recording material rotatably provided within a casing is drawn out through a slot provided along its whole length in the longitudinal direction with a resilient plate having a force pressing it so as to close the slot and with a cloth member abutting against the plate, the plate being fixed to a support part, which is provided within the magazine in the vicinity of the slot, at an angle that allows a force pressing the material in its thickness direction to be generated when the material is drawn out. The plate is formed from a polyolefin based resin plastic sheet having a water absorption of 0.01 wt % or less, has its surface embossed, and has its tip portion formed with a curved surface so that the embossed surface abuts against the image recording material.

A light-sensitive material package includes a light-shielding envelope containing a stack of sheet-form light-sensitive material, the light-shielding envelope having heat-seal parts on four edges. The light-sensitive material package further includes a cushioning member, which holds down all or a part of the heat-seal parts. The light-sensitive material package further includes a fitting-type box for storing the envelope, the fitting-type box being formed from an inner box and a lid. The stiffness of the heat-seal parts is at least 0.05 N&middot;cm.

A light-shielding packaging for a roll of continuous photosensitive web wound on a core having on its each end a light-shielding flange disc has at its leading end a heat-shrinkable light-shielding leader sheet having a thickness of 30 to 200 &mgr;m which shows a heat shrinkage ratio at 50&deg; C. of lower than 1% both in the longitudinal and width directions and a heat shrinkage ratio at 100&deg; C. in the range of 5% to 30% in the longitudinal direction and a heat shrinkage ratio at 100&deg; C. of less than the heat shrinkage ratio in the longitudinal direction by 1% or more in the width direction. The leader sheet has a length larger than the length of the outermost convolution of the roll and a width larger than the distance between the outer face of one flange disc and the outer face of another flange disc, and each side portion of the leader sheet is light-tightly attached by heat shrinkage to the outer face of the flange disc at least at a portion adjacent to the periphery of the flange disc.

A light-shielding packaging for a roll of continuous photosensitive web wound on a core having on its both ends a light-shielding flange disc has at its leading end a heat-shrinkable light-shielding leader sheet having a thickness of 30 to 200 &mgr;m which shows a heat shrinkage ratio of 5 to 30% in the longitudinal direction of the web at a temperature in the range of 60 to 140&deg; C. and a heat shrinkage ratio of less than 5% in its width direction at the same temperature. The leader sheet has a length larger than the length of the outermost convolution of the roll and a width larger than the distance between the outer face of one flange disc and the outer face of another flange disc, and each side portion of the leader sheet is light-tightly attached by heat shrinkage to the outer face of the flange disc at least at a portion adjacent to the periphery of the flange disc.

Light-Shielding packaging system for photosensitive web roll

A sheet photo film pack includes a pack housing for containing a stack of eight sheet photo film units. The counter device is used with the sheet photo film pack. A counter chamber is formed in the pack housing. A counter disk is contained in the counter chamber rotatably, and has first and second faces. A train of counter numerals are arranged on the first face in an arc-shaped manner at a predetermined pitch. Plural stepping claws are disposed on the first face to project in a thickness direction of the counter disk, arranged in an arc-shaped manner at the predetermined pitch, and rotationally shifted by an external mechanical shift signal. The shift signal is associated with each one of the sheet photo film units to be counted, and adapted to setting the counter numerals in a counter indicator window.

A film sheath, holding a sheet film to constitute a sheet film unit, is formed from a plastic resin, and is provided with at least a tapered portion in an end fringe which is directed toward a leading end of a sliding lid when the sliding lid is moved back to a closed position in a sheet film pack containing a stack of such sheet film units, so as to provide a sufficiently large gap between two of the stacked sheet film units, for smooth thrusting of the sliding lid into between the two sheet film units. The film sheath also has a protuberance in a corner of an open end, as a stop member for stopping the sheet film from slipping out of the film sheath.

Film sheet unit which easily accepts a lid of a film pack

A sheet film pack has a pack housing for receiving a plurality of sheet film units in a stack, and a lid for closing an opening of the pack housing, through which a topmost sheet film unit of the stack is placed in an exposure position. The exposure position is defined by an exposure frame of a pack holder which holds the sheet film pack and is attached to a camera. A film recovery mouth for recovering exposed sheet films one after another is formed in a trailing end of the pack housing, and a cap for closing the film recovery mouth and holding the lid in the closed position is removably attached to the pack housing. The lid is guided along guide rails which are formed on lateral sides of the pack housing to slidably hold lateral edges of the lid. The guide rails extend beyond the film recovery mouth such that the trailing ends of the guide rails are placed inside the cap when the cap is attached to the pack housing. A resilient light-trapping ribbon is disposed on a sliding surface of the pack housing for the lid. The ribbon has a free portion which protrudes toward the lid to be resiliently bent by the lid.

A sheet film pack has a pack housing containing a plurality of sheet film units in a stack therein, a lid slidable relative to the pack housing to open or close an open top of the pack housing, and a plate spring mounted on an inner bottom surface of the pack housing to urge the stack of sheet film units toward the open top. Each sheet film unit consists of a sheet of photographic film and a plastic film sheath backing and fringing the sheet film. The plate spring has a pair of arched arms which extend parallel to each other along side zones of a bottom one of the sheet film units, such that peak areas of the arms contact the bottom sheet film unit at positions within 15 mm from side edges of the sheet film unit.

A sheet film pack has a pack housing for receiving a plurality of sheet film units in a stack, and a lid for closing an opening of the pack housing, through which a topmost sheet film unit of the stack is placed in an exposure position. The exposure position is defined by an exposure frame of a pack holder which holds the sheet film pack and is attached to a camera. A film recovery mouth for recovering exposed sheet films one after another is formed in a trailing end of the pack housing, and a cap for closing the film recovery mouth and holding the lid in the closed position is removably attached to the pack housing. The lid is guided along guide rails which are formed on lateral sides of the pack housing to slidably hold lateral edges of the lid. The guide rails extend beyond the film recovery mouth such that the trailing ends of the guide rails are placed inside the cap when the cap is attached to the pack housing. A resilient light-trapping ribbon is disposed in a V-groove formed on a sliding surface of the pack housing for the lid. The ribbon has a free portion which protrudes toward the lid to be resiliently bent by the lid.

A sheet film pack has a pack housing for receiving a plurality of sheet film units in a stack, and a sliding lid for closing an opening of the pack housing, through which a topmost sheet film unit of the stack is moved to an exposure position outside the sheet film pack. The sliding lid has a grip that extends beyond the pack housing in the closed position to close the opening. The sliding lid also has a protuberance that protrudes from an inside surface in the vicinity of the grip. The protuberance is engaged with an edge of the pack housing when the sliding lid is in the closed position, to ensure light-tight contact of the lid with the pack housing even when a large load is applied to the grip.

A sheet film package contains a sheet film unit in a light-shielding envelope with an open end through which the sheet film unit is movable into and out of the light-shielding envelope. The light-shielding envelope is formed by folding a sheet of light-tight material in half to provide a folded side, and securely sealing joints of the folded sheet along a side opposite side to the folded side as well as an end opposite to the open end, wherein a middle portion of the folded side has a larger folding angle compared with end portions thereof.
