A wire-wound coil includes a core, electrodes, and a wire. The core includes a winding core for winding the wire and a pair of flanges. A depression is formed on the inner lower portion of each of the flanges. The depression has a curved surface that curves inward in a direction from the inner wall to the outer wall of the flange and smoothly connects with the peripheral wall of the winding core. The end portions of the wire are extended along the curved surfaces and the tips of the end portions are bonded to the electrodes. The end portions are in an unstressed state and prevent the generation of tension caused by the contraction of a coating agent.

Wire-wound coil and method for manufacturing the same

A common-mode choke coil includes a core having flanges disposed at both ends and a winding section arranged between the flanges. Electrodes are disposed in the flanges, while two pieces of wire are wound around the winding section and ends of the pieces of wire are connected to the electrodes. A ferrite plate with a relative magnetic permeability that is smaller than that of the core is attached on the upper surface of the flanges with an adhesive so as to cover the wire.

Common-mode choke coil

A chip-type common mode choke coil having protrusions extending in an axial direction of a winding core portion and being formed in areas between a plurality of electrodes (four electrodes), at the inside surfaces of two flanges, that is, at opposing surfaces of the two flanges, one being disposed on each end of the winding core portion, in order to increase the stroke distances between the corresponding electrodes. In the choke coil, the protrusions separate the corresponding electrodes in order to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit caused by two wires also coming into contact with the electrodes adjacent to the electrodes to which they are primarily to be connected. For the protrusions, protrusions having at least one of a triangular shape, a square shape, a rectangular shape, a trapezoidal shape, and a substantially semicircular shape in plan view are disposed. Accordingly, the chip-type common mode choke coil makes it possible to prevent the occurrence of a short circuit caused by the wires coming into contact with the corresponding adjacent electrodes, the occurrence of reduced withstand pressure, and the occurrence of insufficient insulation. In addition, it can have high mechanical strength as a result of increased cross-sectional areas of the legs, and be highly reliable.

Chip-type common mode choke coil

A wire-wound common-mode choke coil includes a core member provided with a winding core, flanges disposed at both ends of the winding core, and legs for supporting the core member having grooves defined therein, the grooves being provided in each of the flanges. Bottom edges of the grooves are elevated from the periphery of the winding core by about 1.0 to about 1.5 times the diameter of a wire used to define windings provided on the winding core and protrusions are provided at both ends of the winding core. The flank of the protrusions gradually increase in height as they extend toward the flanges.

Wire-wound common-mode choke coil

A wire-wound chip inductor includes a wire holding member having a core portion with a wire wound therearound and flange portions extending from both ends of the core portion in the axial direction, and a magnetic plate attached to the wire holding member to connect the flange portions. The width of the core portion and the width of the flange portions are substantially equal to each other, and the width of the magnetic plate is larger than the widths of the core portion and the flange portions. Preferably, the width of the magnetic plate is larger than the width of the outer form of the wire, and the magnetic plate has a pair of side wall portions extending from both widthwise ends thereof so as to sandwich the flange portions.

Wire-wound chip inductor

Disclosed herein is a flexible wiring cable being provided on its forward end with a connecting portion to be connected with a connector, which comprises a base film, a wiring conductor provided on the base film, a dielectric member electrically connected with the wiring conductor in the connecting portion of the base film, and a ground electrode electrically connected with the dielectric member for forming a capacitor with the wiring conductor.
