A composition of methacrilic resin which constitutes a resin possessing an outstandingly easy release from the mold of injection molding machine without defilement of the stamper and the peripheral ring of stamper holder, and therefore proves suitable material for replica of raser disk is provided. This methacrylic resin composition is characterized by having incorporated in a methyl methacrylate copolymer the three lubricant components, i.e. a higher alcohol (x), a monoglyceride of a higher fatty acid (y), and a paraffin (z), in such amounts that the individual contents of (x), (y), and (z) are in the respective ranges of 0.05 to 0.2% by weight, 0.05 to 0.2% by weight, and 0.02 to 0.15% by weight and the total content of (x), (y), and (z) is in the range of 0.2 to 0.35% by weight.

Methacrylic resin composition and method for production thereof

Provided are a carrier having at least one passing-through channel used for a catalyst for producing unsaturated esters, and a catalyst for producing unsaturated esters comprising an element belonging to Group VIII of the periodic table or compounds thereof carried on said carrier and a process for producing unsaturated esters characterized by the use of said catalyst. The use of the above catalyst markedly increase the space time yield of the obtained unsaturated esters.

The invention provides an industrially advantageous method of separating liquid mixtures which can reduce the liquid film temperature drop in module units. As a result, the separation system can be rendered compact, the treatment capacity can be increased and the cost can be reduced. Thus, the method of the invention is effective in curtailment of separation and purification processes in the chemical industry and in putting high-efficiency membrane separation techniques to practice use. A hemoperfusion adsorbent is provided comprising a woven or knitted fibrous carbon adsorbent material having at least one coating thereon of a hydrophilic polymer. The adsorbent carbon fabric is preferably derived from a novolak-type phenolic resin. The hydrophilic polymer will preferably comprise a polymer prepared by the polymerization of at least one monomeric acrylate or methacrylate, preferably with a copolymerizable monomer containing an epoxy moiety.

An improved process for preparing an oxide catalyst comprising vanadium oxide and titanium oxide and silica as an optional component, in which more than 50% of the titanium oxide is in the rutile crystalline form, which comprises calcining a mixture of a vanadium compound and amorphous hydrogel of titanium oxide or a mixture further containing silica, in an oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature of 400.degree. to 600.degree.C.; and a catalyst so obtained. This oxide catalyst is very suitable as a fluidized bed catalyst for prepaing acetic acid by gaseous phase oxidation of butenes.
