An apparatus for setting up an electronic device has a memory for storing parameter setting image data for establishing one or more parameters with respect to a controlled device, the parameter setting image including parameter changing switch image data and setting state display image data, a display unit for displaying a parameter setting image based on the parameter setting image data read from the memory, an input unit for entering input information indicating changes in display states of a parameter changing switch image data and a setting state display image which are displayed by the display unit and a parameter to be established, and a controller for changing the display states of the parameter changing switch image data an the setting state display image which are displayed by the display unit and the parameter to be established, based on the input information entered by the input unit, and transmitting changed parameter data or a change in the parameter to the controlled device.

An imaging parameter recording apparatus and an imaging apparatus are disclosed. The setting states of various parts of an imaging system 1 at the time of imaging are detected by a system controller 9 and routed as imaging parameters to a recording/reproducing system 2. These imaging parameters are recorded along with the imaging data on a video tape 17. This enables not only the picture corresponding to the imaging data but also the imaging parameters at the imaging time to be reproduced at the reproducing time, so that not only the past setting state-can be recognized, but also the past setting state can be newly set so that the picture of the same picture pattern can be imaged.

Imaging parameter recording apparatus imaging method and editing system

A portable video camera and recording apparatus is comprised of a video camera section and a recording section. The video camera section is comprised of a CCD, analogue-to-digital converters for converting signals from the CCD into digital form. The digital signals are then processed, converted into analogue form, processed in analog form, and then output as the composite video signal. A digital luminance signal and either a digital composite color signal or a plurality of digital color difference signals are received as inputs into the recording section. If the digital composite color signal is received, then the signals are time-base-compressed, converted into analogue form, the composite color signal is frequency converted and filtered and the luminance signal is frequency modulated and filtered. Next, the signals are added together and recorded onto a recording medium. If the digital color difference signals are received, the digital color difference signals are multiplexed together, converted into analogue form, frequency modulated, filtered and then recorded onto one track on the recording medium. The digital luminance signal is time-base-compressed, converted into analogue form, frequency modulated, filtered, and then recorded onto a second track on the recording medium.

A disc driving apparatus comprises a motor, a turntable which is rotated by a driving force of the motor and supports a disc on one side thereof, a fixed supporting portion for rotatably supporting the turntable, and magnetic means for always generating a predetermined magnetic attracting or repulsive force between the other side of the turntable and the fixed supporting portion which faces the other side of the turntable. A unidirectional urging force is always applied to the turntable by the magnetic means in the axial direction, so that even if an external vibration exists, when a force which is applied to the turntable by the vibration is equal to or less than the urging force, the turntable does not move in the axial direction. Thus, the interval between the disc supported on the turntable and a pickup does not change by the vibration, and an erroneous recording or reading of a signal can be avoided.

A solid state image pick-up apparatus of a CCD (charge-coupled device) type is arranged such that the charges intermittently accumulated in photo-detecting elements during one vertical period are added within a vertical shift register and then fed to a horizontal shift register. Thus, the sensitivity can be controlled by controlling the accumulation time without the moving picture felt discontinuous and the fast moving picture can be picked up without any special apparatus.

In an image pick-up tube of the type having a cathode electrode which emits a scanning electron beam, a control electrode which regulates the current of the electron beam at the cathode electrode and through which there is a control electrode current flow during operation of the tube, and a target electrode from which a video output current signal is obtained in correspondence to incident light from an object image projected on the target electrode as the latter is scanned by the electron beam, apparatus for controlling the electron beam in the image pick-up tube includes a resistive circuit for generating a beam control voltage signal from the video output current signal, a circuit for supplying the beam control voltage signal to the control electrode for regulating the current of the electron beam at the cathode electrode, and a resistive element responsive to the control electrode current for imparting a non-linear characteristic to the beam control voltage signal for varying levels of the incident light to increase the stable operating range of the pick-up tube.
