The present disclosure increases the braking force of a parking spring brake mechanism without enlarging a device and without substantial increase in cost. The subject of the present disclosure is a brake cylinder device provided with a parking spring brake mechanism wherein a first piston moves in a prescribed braking direction. The brake cylinder device is provided with a brake force transmitting section having an inclined surfacethat is inclined so as to press a brake output section in an advancement direction by moving along with the first piston in the braking direction. The inclined surface includes a first inclined surface provided in a distal end portion, and a second inclined surface provided in a proximal end portion and inclined more than the first inclined surface with respect to the advancement direction.

Brake cylinder device and disc brake device

A brake cylinder device having a parking spring brake mechanism, provided with a clutch mechanism configured so as to transmit or block urging force of a piston to or from a brake force transmitting unit; a latch member for restricting displacement of the brake force transmitting unit relative to the piston by engaging with the clutch mechanism, and allowing displacement of the brake force transmitting unit relative to the piston by disengaging from the clutch mechanism; a latch lock member for engaging at an inclined part with a protruding part of the latch member; and a rotation-preventing part for preventing the latch lock member from rotating.

Brake cylinder device and brake device

Disclosed is unit brake, which is equipped with a cylinder apparatus in which a clutch mechanism that switches between transmitting or cutting off a biasing force of a spring brake part is disposed, is capable of preventing a braking force due to the spring brake part from unintentionally decreasing due to a meshing section of the clutch mechanism disengaging, and is of a size that can replace an existing unit brake, and maintains the performance of bearings in the clutch mechanism even with long-term use. The clutch mechanism of the unit brake includes: a nut member that rotatably screws on a spindle that is positioned in an area that communicates with the atmosphere, and is movably supported in a direction opposite to braking; a clutch that is disposed in a direction opposite to braking with respect to the nut member, and faces the nut member in the vicinity of the spindle; a clutch box that is formed in a cylinder shape, and houses the nut member and clutch on the inside; and bearings that rotatably support the nut member on the inside of the clutch box.

To provide a brake cylinder unit wherein both the normal brake and the spring brake that is used as a parking brake, etc., can act, and in addition wherein it is possible to shorten the axial direction length. Brake cylinder unit

A brake cylinder apparatus in which both the service brake and the spring brake, used for such things as a parking brake, can operate, and at the same time can shorten the length of the axial direction. A clutch is provided that couples the second piston with the rod when the pressurized fluid has stopped acting on the second action chamber of the spring brake and the second piston has started to move towards the rod. This clutch means comprises a screw provided on the outer circumference of the rod, a nut element supported on the second piston through the medium of a bearing such that it can rotate freely, and that meshes with the screw, and a stopping means that stops the rotation of the nut element when the second piston starts to move towards the rod.

Brake cylinder apparatus

The present invention provides a ball cock for a railway vehicle which comprises a main body possessing a primary-side opening and a secondary-side opening which face one another and an air exhaust aperture which is formed between these openings. Such ball cock further includes a ball-shaped valve body which is rotatably provided inside such main body and in which there is formed a communication aperture which connects the primary side opening and the secondary-side opening and a side aperture which, consequent to its rotation, connects the air exhaust aperture and either the primary-side or secondary-side opening. There is formed in the main body's air exhaust aperture a pipe connection to which is be connected a restrictor. In another embodiment a extension pipe is connected to such pipe connection in such air exhaust aperture. Such pipe extension forms a bend portion which causes its opening surface to be positioned lower than a generally horizontal direction when, in accordance with the state in which the main body is fitted to a railway vehicle, its air exhaust aperture is positioned upwardly from such horizontal direction.

Ball cock for railway vehicle

The present invention provides a ball cock for a railway vehicle which comprises a main body possessing a primary-side opening and a secondary-side opening which face one another and an air exhaust aperture which is formed between these openings. Such ball cock further incudes a ball-shaped valve body which is rotatably provided inside such main body and in which there is formed a communication aperture which connects the primary side opening and the secondary-side opening and a side aperture which, consequent to its rotation, connects the air exhaust aperture and either the primary-side or secondary-side opening. There is formed in the main body's air exhaust aperture a pipe connection to which can be connected a restrictor. In another embodiment an extension pipe is connected to such pipe connection in such air exhaust aperture. The invention is one which provides in a brake device possessing an energy production unit, a force transmission unit which receives the drive force of the energy production unit and produces outputs by advancing and retreating, and a clutch unit which is provided between the energy production unit and the force transmission unit and maintains the advance and retreat positions of the energy force unit when outputs are produced, a guide structure which allows displacement of the force transmission unit and of the brake shoe in an advance and retreat direction relative to the force transmission unit. A buffer unit is provided in the guide structure which urges the force transmission unit and the brake shoe in separate directions and which, on transmission of a reaction force greater than the maximum output of the force transmission unit, allows the brake shoe to move in the advance and retreat directions.

Brake device

A brake device equipped with an actuator having a power-transmission member generating a pushing force by receiving a drive force so as to advance. A pressure-detection device is provided for detecting the reaction pressure being applied to the power-transmission member and a clearance controller is provided for making the power-transmission member perform a return stroke. A brake shoe is attached to the power-transmission member and generates a braking force on the wheel tread surface. Such clearance controller is provided with a stroke memory unit which detects when the pressure signal from the pressure-detection device has reached a reference value when the pushing force of the power-transmission member is output and memorizes the stroke position of the power-transmission member as the reference stroke position. A computational processor determines the return stroke position by which the power-transmission member is separated from the wheel tread surface and the clearance stroke fraction established in advance using the reference stroke position, when the pushing force is released.

Brake having a pressure responsive slack adjuster

A railroad car brake system, comprising, a pneumatic-to-hydraulic transducer connected to a brake control unit for developing braking pressure in response to a brake command request, and a plurality of disc brake units connected to the pneumatic-to-hydraulic brake pressure transducer and being characterized by the fact that the disc brake units are divided into high speed disc brake units and low speed disc brake units and a control valve is installed between the brake pressure transducer and the disc brake units so that the pressurized fluid may be supplied from the brake pressure transducer either to the high speed disc brake units, or to the low speed disc brake units.

Two separate high speed and low speed disc brake units for railway

A tread brake unit including a spring actuated compensating mechanism for maintaining the brake unit piston stroke constant. A roller associated with the compensating mechanism is adapted to ride along an operating surface of a lever arm that rotates according to the degree of piston stroke. The profile of this operating surface regulates the roller movement to prevent the stressing of operating springs in the compensating mechanism from exceeding a maximum value corresponding to their fatigue limit.
