There is disclosed an image processing system composed of a network of plural stations, in which the transmitted image signals can be monitored on real time basis, always utilizing the full image display area and without lack in the displayed image, by suitably converting the image signals.

An image processing system has an original reader or an image file for generating an image signal, a soft display, a high-speed printer, a small printer, a work station with a CPU, and a switching device. An image can always be displayed or printed at the center of a display surface or of a recording medium irrespective of a difference in the image and the display surface or recording medium.

An image processing system transmits image information in the form of electrical signals among plural stations for processing. A switching unit is provided to supply plural sets of signals to the plural stations in a parallel manner, thus achieving efficient signal transmission.

The present invention provides a retrieving apparatus for retrieving desired information contained in a film making use of retrieval marks recorded on the film. The retrieving apparatus is useful for many different types of films having retrieval marks recorded in different marking modes. The present invention relates to a method of stopping a film containing a plural number of frames having images recorded thereon. First and second detectors each having at least one photo-electric transducer element are arranged along the feed path of the film. The first and second detectors are disposed in such a manner that when the first detector receives the light from the frame, the second detector receives the light from the blank portion (non-image portion) between frames. A signal is produced only when the first detector detects a desired frame and the second detector detects the blank portion at the same time during the feeding of the film. After the generation of the signal, the film is further advanced in a determined direction by a determined length of the film and then the film feeding is stopped to stop the desired frame in the film at a determined position.

Method of stopping a film

A web winding apparatus for automatically winding a web, wherein a winding shaft is driven by a driving device, said winding shaft being adapted, in response to the rotation thereof, to generate pulse signals of which interval is detected to identify whether the web is correctly wound on said winding shaft. In case the web is not correctly wound on the winding shaft, it is cut off from the driving device to prevent damage or breakage of the web.
