A cathode ray tube has, on an external surface of a face-panel, an anti-reflection film in which a layer mainly consisting of SiO is laminated on a transparent conductive layer that includes at least one of colored ITO and colored ATO, and a coloring matter that has a color that is a complementary color with respect to the colors of ITO and/or ATO. As the colored ITO and/or colored ATO, one that has a particle diameter of from 10 to 500 nm is employed. In addition, as the coloring matter, a dyestuff that has the maximum absorption in the wavelength range of 550 to 600 nm or the like is employed. Value of surface resistance of the anti-reflection film is preferable to be 1&times;10 &OHgr;/sq or less. A cathode ray tube having such an anti-reflection film can prevent effectively AEF from occurring and realize an improved contrast and comfortable body color.

Disclosed is a conductive antireflection film comprising a laminate structure consisting of a conductive layer and an insulating covering layer covering the surface of the conductive layer and a conductive member connected at one end to the conductive layer and exposed at the other end to the outside. The conductive member is brought into contact with an electrolytic solution so as to control the state of the metal contained in the conductive layer, making it possible to prevent effectively an electromagnetic wave from leaking to the outside and to obtain a clear image of a high contrast.

A display screen having a color filter including a black matrix formed on a substrate of the display screen. A number of color filter layers, each formed in holes of the matrix, provide filtering of light components corresponding to the color of the filter layer. Also provided is one other color filter layer of a final color. This other color filter is also formed on the matrix and formed in another one of the other holes. Consequently, the other color filter layer can be formed without the need of exposing an associated resist layer, thereby simplifying the color filter manufacturing process.

A magnetoresistance effect element includes a multilayer stack of alternating magnetic and nonmagnetic layers, and having a mixture layer constituted by a mixture of a ferromagnetic element and a non-ferromagnetic element interposed between adjacent stacked magnetic and non-magnetic layers so as to exhibit a magnetoresistance effect. The multilayered stack includes at least two magnetic layers, at least two mixture layers, and at least one non-magnetic layer. 2(X.sub.1 /X.sub.n)/n is larger than 1.1 where n is the number of atomic layers of the mixture layer, X.sub.1 is an atomic concentration (%) of the ferromagnetic element of an atomic layer closest to the magnetic layer, and X.sub.n is an atomic concentration (%) of the ferromagnetic element of the n-th atomic layer closest to the non-magnetic layer.

A magnetoresistance effect element includes a multilayer in which magnetic layers, mixture layers each constituted by a mixture of a ferromagnetic element and a non-ferromagnetic element, and nonmagnetic layers are stacked on each other so as to exhibit a magnetoresistance effect. In this element, each of the mixture layers is interposed between the magnetic layer and the nonmagnetic layer, and 2 (X.sub.1 /X.sub.n)/n is larger than 1.1 where n is the number of atomic layers of the mixture layer, X.sub.1 is the atomic concentration (%) of the ferromagnetic element of an atomic layer closest to the magnetic layer, and X.sub.n is the atomic concentration (%) of the ferromagnetic element of an n-th atomic layer closest to the nonmagnetic layer.

A disc cartridge of the present invention has magnetic means provided on an inner surface at least one of a pair of housing means which faces information recording means and acting on a hub for fixing a magnetic disc so that the magnetic disc is prevented from being vibrated in the disc cartridge. In consequence, the present invention provides a disc cartridge which operates at a high reliability and in which foreign matter such as dust is not produced.
