An ink tank having an ink tank body, a first electrode member, and a second electrode member, is provided. The ink tank body includes an ink inlet, an ink reservoir chamber, an ink supplying section, a first restrictive side wall, a second restrictive side wall, a leaked-ink flow path, a first surface, a second surface, a connecting surface connecting the first surface and the second surface, and a restrictive section. The leaked-ink flow path is formed at least of a part of the first surface, a part of the connecting surface, a part of the second surface, the first restrictive side wall, and the second restrictive side wall. The restrictive section is arranged on the second surface between the first restrictive side wall and the second restrictive side wall. At least a part of the restrictive section is located between the connecting surface and the first electrode member.

Ink tank and inkjet printer

A monochrome inkjet printer used only for monochrome recording includes a first ink reservoir configured to accommodate dye ink, a first recording head communicating with the first ink reservoir and configured to record an image using the dye ink, a second ink reservoir configured to accommodate pigment ink, and a second recording head communicating with the second ink reservoir and configured to record an image using the pigment ink. At least one of the first ink reservoir and the second ink reservoir includes an ink injection port compatible with an ink bottle.

A liquid discharging apparatus, having a head, a reservoir section including a liquid reservoir chamber and an atmosphere communication path, a liquid flow path connecting the head with the liquid reservoir chamber, a switching assembly to switch states of the atmosphere communication path between a connecting state and a disconnecting state, and a controller, is provided. The controller is configured to control the switching assembly to switch the states of the atmosphere communication path from the connecting state to the disconnecting state; after switching the states of the atmosphere communication path, control the head to discharge the liquid; and after switching the states of the atmosphere communication path, and in response to a predetermined connection condition being satisfied, control the switching assembly to switch the states of the atmosphere communication path from the disconnecting state to the connecting state.

Liquid discharging apparatus

In a printer unit, ink is poured into a storage chamber from an inlet of a tank. The storage chamber communicates with an air chamber. An air tube connects the air chamber and the outside of the tank and is opened and closed by a valve. A cover is movable to a first position in which the inlet is covered and a second position in which the inlet is exposable via a third position being a position between the first position and the second position. A valve opening/closing mechanism opens a valve when the cover is located on a side closer to the first position than the third position, and closes the valve when the cover is located between the third position and the second position. When the cover moves from the third position to the first position, a cap fits over the inlet to seal the storage chamber.

Liquid consumption device

A liquid consumption device has a tank having an inner space partitioned by an outer wall. The tank has a first inner wall which extends from the outer wall on a one side in a first direction perpendicular to an up-down direction. Further, the first inner wall partitions the inner space into a first space and a second space, which communicate with each other through a first communication hole formed on the first inner wall. A third space, which is partitioned by the first inner wall and the outer wall, and is located below a lowermost position of a surface defining the first communication hole when the tank takes a first attitude is configured to store a particular amount of liquid, which is stored in a fourth space in a state where the tank takes the usage attitude, the fourth space being a part of the second space.

There is provided a liquid consuming apparatus including: a tank having a liquid storing chamber, an erected wall through which the liquid inside the liquid storage chamber is visible from outside of the tank, and an inlet which is formed to penetrate through the erected wall and via which the liquid is poured into the liquid storage chamber; a liquid consuming section which consumes the liquid stored in the liquid storing chamber; and a cover. A transmitting section and a checking section are formed in an upper surface, of the cover, under a condition that the cover is in the exposure position, the transmitting section configured to transmit information optically to a user of the liquid consuming apparatus and the checking section configured to prevent the liquid moving on a particular surface of the cover from arriving at the transmitting section.

The storage portion has an air communication opening allowing an interior of the storage portion to be communicated with an outside of the storage portion. The valve is movable between an opening position in which the valve opens the air communication opening and a closing position in which the valve closes the air communication opening. The actuator is configured to move the valve. The controller configured to control, while the head is ejecting ink from the nozzle toward a recording medium, the actuator to maintain the valve at the closing position.

A liquid discharging apparatus includes: a head having a nozzle which discharges liquid therefrom; a storing part, at least a part of the storing part being positioned above an opening of the nozzle, the liquid being stored in the storing part while forming a liquid surface; and an atmosphere communicating channel which communicates a gas layer of the storing part with outside of the storing part; and a valve unit which is switched between a communication state in which the valve unit communicates the gas layer of the storing part with the outside and a non-communication state in which the valve unit does not communicate the gas layer of the storing part with the outside. The valve unit is switched from the non-communication state to the communication state in a case that a power source is changed from a turned-on state to a turned-off state.

A liquid supplying system includes a tank, a first tubular portion, a second tubular portion, a sleeve portion, and a liquid bottle. The first and second tubular portions have inner ends positioned inside a storage chamber of the tank, and outer ends positioned outside of the storage chamber. The first and second tubular portions are positioned inside the sleeve portion. The sleeve portion includes a first screw portion and a first engagement portion. The liquid bottle includes an outer sleeve connectable to the sleeve portion. There is provided an ink-jet printer including: an ink tank including an ink inlet; a cap; and a cover configured to be movable with respect to the ink inlet between a closed position and an open position. The cover includes an inner surface configured to face the ink inlet under a condition that the cover is in the closed position, and a rib provided at the inner surface. The rib is configured to face a part of the cap, in which the cap is sealed the ink inlet under the condition that the cover is in the closed position and the rib is configured to abut against the part of the cap under a condition that the cap is not appropriately sealed the inlet when the cover moving from the open position to the closed position, thereby the cover being prevented from reaching the closed position.

Ink-jet printer
