The medicine packing machine is equipped with a loading unit that is capable of receiving and delivering vials retrieved from a stocker, and a supplying unit that is capable of delivering the vials from the loading unit in an upright position. A control unit is also disposed between the loading unit and the supplying unit. As a result of the presence of the control unit, the transfer of vials received by the loading unit is controlled by the control unit in such a manner that the vials are not ejected towards the supplying unit. The vials are also controlled so as to be in an upright position once loaded into the loading unit. As a result of these actions, the vials received by the loading unit are reliably delivered to the supplying unit without being ejected or jamming at unanticipated locations.

Upright vial discharge unit

There is provided a tablet filling device, which can smoothly supply vials without any stop of the device even if the vials cause a jam within a stocker. The tablet filling device is related to removing a vialfrom a stockeraccommodating a large number of vialsaccording to a prescription data, dispensing tablets into the vialto fill the vial, and discharging the vialfilled with the tablets. The stockerincludes: a vial removing deviceconfigured to scoop the vialaccommodated in the stockerupward to remove the vial; and a vial conveying deviceconfigured to convey the vialtoward the vial removing device. When a jam of the vialoccurs, the vial conveying deviceis reversely driven.

Tablet filling device

There is provided an improved vial lid fastening device capable of reliably completing lid fastening in a short time. The vial lid fastening devicehas a lid rotating device, a lid placing member, a transporting device, a first lid body reservoir, a vial lid holding and supplying device, and a vial discharging device. A lid bodyslides on an inclined flat surfaceto reach a terminal mechanism part, and a stepped sectionof the lid bodyengages a stepped section holder. The lid bodyis grasped by chuck clawsand is rotated as engaged to the terminal mechanism partof the stepped section holder. Then, one of rotation regulating protrusionsof the lid bodyis allowed to collide with a rotation preventing memberof the lid placing member. Thus, position determination in a rotation direction is performed with reference to the rotation regulating projectionsand such position is maintained fixedly. Thereafter, the lid bodyis mated with the vial bodyand then rotated by a chuck.
