A turning behavior control device for a vehicle includes a yaw rate detection unit, a brake unit, a drive source, and a travel control unit. The travel control unit includes a deviation value calculation unit that calculates a deviation between a reference yaw rate for determining the degree of understeer during turning of the vehicle and an actual yaw rate detected by the yaw rate detection unit, a braking force control unit that outputs, to the brake unit, a first signal for applying the braking force to a turning inner-side rear wheel or a turning inner-side front wheel when determining that the deviation exceeds a predetermined deviation reference value, and a driving force control unit that outputs, to the drive source, a signal for applying a driving force to a turning outer-side rear wheel or a turning outer-side front wheel when the braking force control unit outputs the signal.

Turning behavior control device for vehicle

A control device for a four wheel drive vehicle. Differential limitation is applied to both of right and left rear wheels, with 2WD_d state being maintained, by executing two wheel control for engaging or half-engaging a first clutch and a second clutch. As the two wheel drive control is executed, a moment that suppresses the rotation speed difference between the right and left rear wheels acts on the right and left rear wheels even in the 2WD_d state. When the rotation speed difference occurs between the right and left rear wheels, a braking force is allowed to act on the vehicle wheel on the high rotation side and a driving force is allowed to act on the vehicle wheel on the low rotation side through the execution of the two wheel drive control so that a stable moment acts on the vehicle without a transition to a 4WD state.

Control device for four wheel drive vehicle

In a control system, a transfer is connected to a rotation member between a driving power source and primary driving wheels and distributes dynamic power of the driving power source to secondary drive wheels. A driving power transmission shaft transmits the dynamic power of the driving power source distributed by the transfer to the secondary drive wheels. A connection-disconnection mechanism is disposed between the rotation member and the driving power transmission shaft. First and second clutches are disposed respectively between the driving power transmission shaft and right and left wheels of the secondary drive wheels. The electronic control unit is configured, when switching from a two-wheel-drive running state to a four-wheel-drive running state on the basis of a vehicle running state, to generate a transmission torque in the first clutch or the second clutch after controlling the connection-disconnection mechanism to engage the connection-disconnection mechanism.

A control apparatus for a vehicular 4-wheel drive system provided with: primary drive wheels to which a drive force is transmitted from a drive power source; auxiliary drive wheels to which the drive force is selectively transmitted; a first clutch configured to selectively place a first power transmitting path in a power transmitting state and a power cutoff state; and a second clutch disposed in a second power transmitting path to selectively place the second power transmitting path in a power transmitting state and a power cutoff state. The first and second clutches are placed in fully released states to establish a 2-wheel drive mode. The control apparatus includes a first-clutch control portion configured to bring the first clutch into a partially engaged state when a predetermined condition in which the vehicular 4-wheel drive system generates or is considered to generate a noise is satisfied in the 2-wheel drive mode.

Control apparatus for a vehicular 4-wheel drive system

A control system includes a transfer. The transfer is disposed in a power transmission path between the driving power source and primary driving wheels and distributes dynamic power of the driving power source to the secondary drive wheels. A driving power transmission shaft transmits the dynamic power of the driving power source distributed by the transfer to the secondary drive wheels. A clutch mechanism is disposed in a power transmission path between the transfer and the driving power transmission shaft. A electronic control unit engages at least one of a first and second clutches and then engages the clutch mechanism on the basis of a steering state at the time of switching from a two-wheel-drive traveling state in which the clutch mechanism and the first and second clutches are disengaged to a four-wheel-drive traveling state in which the clutch mechanism and the first and second clutches are engaged.

A drive force control system capable of stabilizing behavior of a vehicle with a rapid control response. The drive force control system for a vehicle having a pair of front wheels and a pair of rear wheels includes: a distribution mechanism, which distributes power outputted from a prime mover to a right wheel and to a left wheel of any one of the pairs of front and rear wheels, and which changes a ratio to distribute the power to the right wheel and the left wheel by engaging or disengaging an engagement mechanism; and at least two motors arranged individually for a right wheel and a left wheel of other pair of wheels to control drive forces for driving those right wheel and left wheel individually.

Driving force control system

A vehicle drive apparatus independently controls drive forces for a front-right drive wheel, a front-left drive wheel, a rear-right drive wheel, and a rear-left drive wheel using a front-right electric motor, a front-left electric motor, a rear-right electric motor, and a rear-left electric motor, respectively. The drive forces for the drive wheels of a vehicle incorporating the vehicle drive apparatus are determined based on the target moments in the yaw and roll directions of the vehicle, the total drive for the drive wheels, and the drive reaction forces at the drive wheels. Thus, the performance desired by the driver can be achieved, and the drivability therefore improves accordingly.

Vehicle drive apparatus

A target braking-driving force Fvn and a target yaw moment Mvn of the entire vehicle are calculated, and when the target braking-driving force Fvn and the target yaw moment Mvn cannot be achieved by the braking-driving forces of the front wheels, a target braking-driving force Fvft and a target yaw moment Mvft of the front wheels are adjusted such that the magnitudes of the braking-driving force and yaw moment of the vehicle produced by the braking-driving forces of the front wheels become the maximum at a ratio between Fvn and Mvn. A target braking-driving force Fvrt and a target yaw moment Mvrt of the rear wheels are calculated on the basis of Fvn, Mvn, Fvft, and Mvft, and similar adjustment is performed for them when necessarily.

In a braking/driving force control apparatus, a vehicle target braking/driving force and a vehicle target yaw moment through the control of braking/driving forces of wheels are calculated, and when the target braking/driving force and the target yaw moment cannot be achieved through the control of the braking/driving forces of the wheels, the vehicle target braking/driving force after the modification and the vehicle target yaw moment after the modification are calculated such that, within the range where the ratio of the vehicle target braking/driving force after the modification and the vehicle target yaw moment after the modification coincides with the ratio of the target braking/driving force and the target yaw moment, the vehicle braking/driving force and the vehicle yaw moment by the target braking/driving forces of the wheels take the greatest values.

In a braking/driving force control apparatus, a vehicle target braking/driving force and a vehicle target yaw moment through the control of braking/driving forces of wheels are calculated, and when the target braking/driving force and the target yaw moment cannot be achieved through the control of the braking/driving forces of the wheels, it is determined which one of the braking/driving force and the yaw moment should take priority on the basis of the target braking/driving force and the target yaw moment. According to the present invention, when a target braking/driving force and a vehicle target yaw moment required to a vehicle cannot be achieved through a control of a braking/driving forces of wheels, in a rectangular coordinate of the braking/driving force and the yaw moment, a polygon indicating the maximum range of the braking/driving force and the yaw moment attainable by the braking/driving forces of the wheels, and an ellipse that crosses each side of the polygon and has a major axis and a minor axis aligning with the coordinate axis of the rectangular coordinate are set, for example. Braking-driving force control device of vehicle

According to the present invention, when at least one of a target braking/driving force and a vehicle target yaw moment required to a vehicle cannot be achieved by a braking/driving forces of wheels, a target braking/driving force after a modification and a target yaw moment after a modification are calculated to be values attainable by the braking/driving forces of the wheels. When the magnitudes of the target braking/driving force after a modification and the target yaw moment after the modification exceed the corresponding limit value, these magnitudes are limited to the limit values. Alternatively, when the magnitudes of rates of change of the target braking/driving force after a modification and the target yaw moment after the modification exceed the corresponding limited rates of change, these magnitudes of the rates of change are limited to the limited rates of change.
