An operation signal corresponding to an input operation on a rotating body by a user is output to an information-processing unitand the operation signal is processed by a processing condition in accordance with the condition of the input operation. Based on the information property such as sound volume processed based on the operation signal and output by the output unitor a setting position such as a cue point that is set by the input operation on the switch sectionand at which a reproducing position is changed by a processing unitin accordance with a pressing operation on the rotating body, the location of the reproducing position that is moved in accordance with the condition of the input operation on the rotating bodyis recognized. And the rotating bodyis operated (conducting click-like movement restriction, vibration and the like) in accordance with output condition corresponding to the condition of the input operation based on the property. A touch such as the movement restriction and vibration can be provided in accordance with the input operation and the property of the information, thereby providing efficient information-processing by the input operation.

Switch device, information processing device, and reproduction device

A reproduction systemincludes a rotating body on which a rotary operation is conducted by a user, a rotary movement detectorthat detects the rotation of the rotating body and outputs a detection signal in accordance with a rotary condition thereof, and a restricting unit that conducts a restriction processing for restricting the rotation of the rotating body based on the detection signal. Accordingly, different resistance feeling in accordance with the rotary operation on the rotating body is provided to a user, thereby exhibiting excellent operational feeling just like a rotation of a turntable of a record player.

A playback apparatus is provided, which comprises a switch device () that gives the user good feeling of operating. A tape-shaped switch () is provided on a base part (), extending along the circumference of the base part (). A ring-shaped rotational drive section () opposes the tape-shaped switch () and can move to and from the base part (). A plurality of second rollers (), each having a roller part () made of rubber or the like, are rotatably mounted on the rotational drive section (). A flange () continuously extending outward from the disc-shaped table plate () of a jog table unit () is mounted on the rotational drive section (). When the user rotates the jog table unit (), the rotation-detecting section () provided on the base part () detects the rotation of the unit (). The flange () is supported by the second rollers () at a position outside a position where the user touches the jog table unit () and rotates, so that the rotation of the jog table unit () can be reliably detected. The user can obtain good feeling of operating the switch device ().

Switch device, data-processing apparatus and playback apparatus

A tape-shaped switch () is provided on a base part (). Coil springs () support a ring-shaped rotational drive section () on the position opposed to the switch (), biasing the same away from the base part (), so that the rotational drive section () may move toward and from the base part (). First buffers are provided in association with the switches () of the tape-shaped switch (), respectively. A flange () extends outward from the disc-shaped table plate () of a jog table unit () and is mounted on the rotational drive section (). When the user depresses the jog table unit (), moving the same downward, at least one of the switches () is closed. The motion of the jog table unit () is reliably detected because it is detected at a position outside that part of the jog table unit (), which is depressed so that good feeling of the operation can be obtained.

A signal adjusting apparatus includes a movable member, a setting device, and a prohibiting device. The movable member is movable in a movable range to have the electrical signal adjusted in accordance with a position of the movable member. The setting device sets a prohibition range in the movable range. The prohibition range is a range where a volume level of the electrical signal is to be constant. The prohibiting device prohibits the volume level from being adjusted under the state that the movable member is located in the prohibition range.

Apparatus for adjusting a signal and prohibiting adjustment of the signal based on a position of a movable member

A signal adjusting apparatus comprises a movable member, a first detecting device, a second detecting device, and a correction device. The member is movable in a movable range composed of a plurality of intervals. The first detecting device detects one of the intervals where the member is located. The first detecting device is constituted by a first movable portion mounted on the member and a first fixed portion spaced apart from the first movable portion. The one of the intervals is an absolute position. The second detecting device detects a relative position of the member within the detected interval. The second detecting device is constituted by a second movable portion mounted on the member and a second fixed portion spaced apart from the second movable portion. The correction device corrects the detected relative position based on a relationship between the absolute position and the relative position stored in a memory.

Apparatus for adjusting a signal based on a position of a movable member

Both of one audio information and another audio information are recorded on a same information record medium. An audio information reproducing apparatus is provided with: a detecting device for detecting said one audio information and said another audio information from the information record medium and also detecting a time period required for one beat of the detected another audio information; and an accumulating device for accumulating said one audio information detected from the information record medium to thereby continue reproducing and outputting said one audio information through the accumulating device. The audio information reproducing apparatus is also provided with a controlling device for controlling the detecting device to detect said another audio information and the time period required for one beat, within a time duration that the accumulated one audio information is being reproduced and outputted through the accumulating device.

Method of and apparatus for reproducing audio information, program storage device and computer data signal embodied in carrier wave

An audio information reproducing apparatus reproduces one audio information and reproduces another audio information after said one audio information. The apparatus is provided with: a detecting device for detecting one time period required for one beat of said one audio information, and also detecting another time period for one beat of said another audio information; and a reproducing device for reproducing said another audio information continuously to said one audio information while controlling the detected another time period to be coincident with the detected one time period. Alternatively or additionally, the apparatus is provided with: a detecting device for detecting one beat timing which is a timing of a beat of said one audio information and also detecting another beat timing which is a timing of a beat of said another audio information, so that the reproducing device controls the detected another beat timing to be coincident with the detected one beat timing.
