An electronic calculator watch which comprises timekeeping means composed of an oscillator, a frequency divider connected to the oscillator, a counter circuit connected to the frequency divider, and a driver circuit connected to the counter circuit for providing an output signal indicative of time information, and calculating means composed of an oscillator circuit and a calculation circuit responsive to perform calculations under control of numerical inputs furnished by external operation device provided on a watch case. The watch also comprises a display including a first display section connected to the driver circuit of the timekeeping means to display the output signal delivered therefrom, and a second display section connected to the calculating means to display the result of calculations, each of the first and second display sections having a plurality of digit electrodes and a plurality of segment electrodes arranged in a matrix configuration.

An electronic timepiece having an integrated circuit including a high frequency oscillator with a frequency divider circuit for dividing the high frequency output to provide a low frequency time unit signals. A time counter circuit responds to the time unit signals and develops time information signals. A decoder is coupled to the time counter circuit and provides display information signals in response to the time information signals. A driver circuit provides drive signals in response to the display information signals and an electro-optical device responds to the drive signals to display time information. A frequency adjustment circuit adjusts the high frequency signal to a correct value and has a plurality of frequency adjustment ratio setting terminals selectively coupled to output terminals of the driver circuit to develop outputs representative of frequency adjustment ratios. Pulse generating circuitry is provided for generating output pulses in dependence upon the output signals and the high frequency signal is adjusted to a correct valve in response to output pulses.

The invention concerns with an electronic timepiece provided with digital display means including an elastomeric display element. This element has an uppermost transparent and solid plate which is made of glass or plastic resin material, serving as a solid base member of the element durable to outside mechanical stresses and shocks. The thickness may amount to about 0.2-2 mm, or so. Transparent upper electrodes are provided at the lower surface of the glass or plastic resin plate, these electrodes being shaped and arranged in registration with the display segments of a scheduled display pattern. The thickness may be in the order of 500-2,000 A.
