A printer includes a holder configured to house rolled recording paper, a cover that is attached to the holder to be openable and closable relative to the holder, and a contact part that is attached to the cover and configured to contact the recording paper. The contact part is configured such that the contact part substantially point-contacts the recording paper, and positions on the contact part contacting the recording paper change as the recording paper is unrolled.

The lock locks a platen roller attached to one of the printer body and the lid. The lock lever unlocks the locked platen roller. The open lever is so provided on the lid as to slide. The open lever slides to press the lock lever to open the lid.

A printer includes a fixed blade and a movable blade that cut recording paper subjected to printing by a print head, and a movable blade slider including a projecting part provided on a surface of the movable blade slider. A printer includes a platen roller, a print head that performs printing on a recording sheet, and a recording sheet guide provided on the same side as the platen roller relative to the recording sheet. Multiple projections are provided on a surface of the recording sheet guide. The projections are elongated in substantially the same direction as a conveyance direction of the recording sheet.
