A motor control apparatus including: a motor including a rotating member and a stator; a housing member including a motor housing portion and a power system substrate housing portion, the motor housing portion enclosing the motor and extending in an axial direction of the rotating member, the power system substrate housing portion being integrally formed with the motor housing portion and being located is radially outside of the motor; a control system board supporting a component of a control circuit to control the motor, and including a first board portion facing the motor in the axial direction, and a second board portion extending radially from the first board portion; and a power system substrate supporting a component of a power supply circuit to supply power to the motor, the power system substrate being provided in the power system substrate housing portion.

Motor control apparatus, power steering apparatus and brake control apparatus

A power steering system includes a wormshaft housed in a shaft housing portion and rotatably supported at one end by a bearing, a worm wheel adapted to mesh with the wormshaft, a bottomed, cylindrical bearing holder configured to enclose and fit onto the bearing for holding the bearing, and a preloading means located in the bearing holder for preloading the bearing in a direction of meshed-engagement of the worm gear. An adjustment-mechanism housing portion is formed at one end of the shaft housing portion for housing and retaining the bearing holder. A restriction wall is formed in the adjustment-mechanism housing portion for restricting a movement of the bearing holder. The preloading means includes a preload portion formed integral with the bearing holder, for forcing the bearing in the direction of meshed-engagement by a force of resiliency of the preload portion, thus ensuring sufficient accuracy of meshed-engagement without complicated machining.

Power steering system, speed reduction mechanism and bearing holder

An electric power steering apparatus including: a power system board which is received in a housing, which supports a component of a power supply circuit to supply power to a motor; a control system board which is received in the housing, which supports a component of a control circuit to control the motor, and which extends radially with respect to an axis of the motor output shaft; a rotation sensor which is provided in the housing, which is located, in an axial direction of a motor output shaft, between the motor and the control system board, and which is arranged to sense a rotational position of the motor output shaft; and an output terminal which is provided with the rotation sensor, which is connected electrically with the control system board to supply a rotational position signal of the rotation sensor to the control circuit.

A motor control apparatus includes a motor, and a control system board supporting a control circuit to control the motor. The apparatus may further include a power system board supporting a power supply circuit to supply power to the motor. The control system board includes a first board portion facing in a direction along a rotation axis of the motor, and a second board portion extending radially from the first board portion.

Power steering apparatus includes input and output shafts connected by a torsion bar; and a coil unit disposed around one of the shafts and arranged to sense torque between the input and output shafts. A housing includes an axial bore in which the shafts and coil unit are installed. The housing is further formed with an insertion opening which extends radially into the axial bore and which is sized to allow insertion of the coil unit radially into the axial bore.
