In a multilayer coil component, even when both pairs of ends of a first coil part and a second coil part are located at the same positions when viewed from the laminated direction and have the same shapes, a connecting part is connected only to a second end of the first coil part on the upper side in the laminated direction, and is connected only to a first end of the second coil part on the lower side in the laminated direction. Thus, a coil wound around along the laminated direction is structured without misaligning the positions of respective connecting parts. Consequently, the entire shapes of the respective coil parts can be designed to be the exact same shape, which makes it possible to reduce the number of types of coil part, saving labor and time for preparing many types of conductor patterns like the conventional type.

Multilayer coil component

A coil includes a plurality of internal conductors that are electrically connected to each other and are disposed in an element body having magnetism. The plurality of internal conductors includes conductor portions that are separated from each other in a first direction and overlap each other when viewed from the first direction. At least one low-permeability layer is disposed along the conductor portions between the internal conductors adjacent to each other in the first direction. Permeability of the low-permeability layer is lower than permeability of the element body. The low-permeability layer includes a first portion contacting the internal conductors and at least one second portion separated from the internal conductors in the first direction, between the internal conductors adjacent to each other. The element body includes first element body regions that are interposed between the second portion and the internal conductors.

A method of A production method including interdiffusion of a Ni component in a magnetic layer and a Zn component in a nonmagnetic sheet to form an interdiffusion layer in a region of the nonmagnetic sheet inside a conductive pattern. This method allows the interdiffusion layer to be formed without need for complicated processing of the nonmagnetic sheet. Furthermore, there is no boundary region between the magnetic layer and the nonmagnetic sheet around it. The nonmagnetic layer is located between turns of a coiled conductor to suppress degradation of dc bias characteristics and a magnetic body penetrates in a region inside the coiled conductor to suppress reduction in inductance due to provision of the nonmagnetic layer between turns of the coiled conductor.

Method for producing multilayer inductor

A laminated inductor, as well as a method of manufacturing such a laminated inductor, are provided. The laminated inductor includes: a laminate; a pair of external electrodes arranged on the outer surfaces of the laminate respectively; and a coil, arranged within the laminate and formed by electrically connecting a plurality of strip-like conductor patterns. The conductor patterns have: a pair of broad faces, intersecting the lamination direction and mutually opposing; and peripheral side faces adjacent to the pair of broad faces and extending in the lamination direction. The peripheral side faces are concavo-convex faces, in which concave portions and convex portions are arranged in alternation in the lamination direction. The laminate enters into the concave portions of the peripheral side faces.
