An electrophotographic plate-making apparatus in which a light beam is applied to the surface of a photoconductive sensitive material from a light-beam applying device so as to form an image and a register mark on the surface of the sensitive material the image and the register mark are transferred onto an outer peripheral surface of an intermediate transfer material, a recording material and the intermediate transfer material are moved while the outer peripheral surface of the intermediate transfer while the outer peripheral surface of the are brought into contact with each other, the movement of the recording material and the intermediate transfer material is controlled by detecting the transferred register mark, thereby to transfer the image onto the recording material with high positional accuracy. By forming the register mark through light-beam scanning, it is possible to provide the photosensitive material with the register mark efficiently and reliably, so that the image can be transferred onto the recording material with high positional accuracy.

Electrophotographic plate-making apparatus

In a liquid electrophotographic method, in which while a photoconductive drum is rotating a plurality of toners are deposited thereon to thereby transfer an image simultaneously onto a transfer material, at a first rotation of the drum, each color toner image is formed onto the drum and the drum is dried during a second rotation thereof. Consequently, the image information can be transferred utilizing the time taken to dry the drum. In addition, in the same apparatus, an electric charging unit, an exposure unit, a developing unit, a drying unit, a transfer unit and the like are disposed along the outer circumference of the drum. Consequently, the entire apparatus can be compactly arranged.

Liquid electrophotographic method and an apparatus therefor

A developer treatment apparatus for treating excess developer remaining after film has been developed by developer containing a pigment dispersed in a solvent composed of a hydrocarbon as a main component includes a catalyst for oxidizing the hydrocarbon contained in the excess developer, thus treating the excess developer easily.

An image recording apparatus for recording an image on a heat-sensitive recording material composed of a transparent carrier and transparent heat-sensitive coupler layers formed on the opposite surfaces of the transparent carrier is provided with a feeding device for feeding the heat-sensitive recording material rectilinearily and a recording head for developing, by heating, the colors of the respective transparent heat-sensitive coupler layers of the heat-sensitive recording material which is being fed. Accrodingly, it is possible to heat the transparent heat-sensitive coupler layers consistently in a plate state.

Image recording apparatus

A developing apparatus for bringing a film into contact with a frame portion which defines a developing chamber in such a manner that a surface of the film formed an electrostatic latent image is opposed to a developing electrode disposed in the developing chamber, and for developing the film under a liquid developer supplied to the developing chamber while applying a bias voltage to the developing electrode. The developing apparatus interrupts the application of the bias voltage to the developing electrode at the time of the contact. Consequently, discharge between the film and the developing electrode can be prevented at the time of the contact.

Developing apparatus

A pipeline arranged so that any bubbles mixed in a liquid developer can be prevented from being delivered to a developing section. A main pipe through which the pumped developer flows is communicated at its lower end with a branched pipe. A branched pipe which is communicated with the developing section is connected to the branched pipe through a portion which is sloped downward in a direction in which the developer flows. Accordingly, air bubbles in the developer having reached the branched pipe are allowed to rise in the sloped portion to return to the branched pipe. There is therefore no fear of air bubbles being supplied to the developing section.

In a process head for electrophotographic apparatus integrally formed with a charing/exposing chamber, a developing chamber, a drying chamber and a fixing chamber along the feeding direction of the film for recording and thereby made capable of processing plural frames of the recording film simultaneously, stage heads which constitute the respective processing chambers are fixed to a mounting member and a portion with charging mechanism is detachably inserted in the interval space between the stage head corresponding to the charging/exposing chamber and the mounting member so that its maintenance can be facilitated and the apparatus as a whole can be made compact in size.

Process head for electrophotographic apparatus

A charging and exposing head for use in an electrophotographic apparatus includes a charging and exposing chamber having a light transmission window for carrying out charging and exposing operation on an electrophotosensitive member moving along the light transmission window. In the charging and exposing head, a retaining member presses the electrophotosensitve member against the light transmission window to maintain the flatness of the electrophotosensitive member, and cooling air is supplied from a cooling gas supply pipe toward the electrophotosensitive member brought opposite to the light transmission window to prevent thermal deformation of the electrophotosensitive member.
