A method for controlling a discharge of a power storage device includes: a first step of discharging, in a first section of a discharging period, a part of an electric charge stored in a power storage through a first discharge path and a second discharge path of a discharge circuit; and a second step of discharging, in a second section of the discharging period, a remaining part of the electric charge through the second discharge path. The first discharge path includes a zener diode connected to one end of the power storage. The second discharge path includes a first transistor connected to the one end of the power storage. The first section is a period in which a voltage of the one end of the power storage is higher than a breakdown voltage of the zener diode. The second section is a period in which a voltage of the one end of the power storage is lower than the breakdown voltage of the zener diode. An output current of the first transistor in the second section is greater than an output current of the first transistor in the first section.

Method for controlling discharge of power storage device

A discharge circuit includes a plurality of burden circuits that are electrically connected in parallel to a plurality of power storage units, respectively. Each of the plurality of burden circuits includes (i) a resistor and a switch that are electrically connected in series between both ends of a corresponding one of the plurality of power storage units, and (ii) a control terminal that controls the switch according to a potential of the control terminal. The plurality of burden circuits are electrically connected in series between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The control terminal of a n+1-th burden circuit from a reference point is electrically connected, via the switch of the n-th burden circuit from the reference point, to a reference point side terminal of a n-th power storage unit from the reference point. The reference point is the positive electrode or the negative electrode.

Power storage device discharge circuit, power storage system, and vehicle equipped with same

A power storage device includes an input terminal, an output terminal, a first circuit, and a second circuit. The input terminal is to be electrically connected to a power supply. The output terminal is to be electrically connected to a load. The first circuit and the second circuit are electrically connected in parallel. Each of the first circuit and the second circuit are disposed between the input terminal and the output terminal. The first circuit includes a power storage unit and a discharge path that allows a discharge current from the power storage unit to flow toward the output terminal. The second circuit includes a blocking path that prevents the discharge current from flowing toward the input terminal.

The present disclosure relates to a vehicle electricity storage device capable of maintaining proper backup of a main power supply. The vehicle electricity storage device includes an electricity storage circuit, a main charge circuit, and a precharge circuit. The electricity storage circuit configured to supply stored electricity to a load. The main charge circuit operates to supply electricity of a main power supply to the electricity storage circuit when an ignition switch is in an ON state of allowing an engine to start. The precharge circuit operates to supply electricity of the main power supply to the electricity storage circuit when the main charge circuit is in a state of stopping operation by the ignition switch being turned off.

A discharge circuit includes: a first transistor connected to power storage; an operational amplifier for controlling an output current of the first transistor; and the current mirror circuit connected to the operational amplifier. The current mirror circuit includes a second transistor connected to a non-inverting input terminal of the operational amplifier, and a third transistor connected to the power storage.
