In a quick connection device for piping installed with a checker (), a connector housing () of a quick connector () is formed with opening portions () for inserting resilient legs () therein through the opening portions () in a direction perpendicular to an axis from leading ends of the resilient legs, and inserted portions of the resilient legs () are held inside the connector housing (). The resilient legs () are resiliently deformed in an axially inward direction by an annular projecting portion on an outer peripheral surface of a mating pipe at insertion of the mating pipe, to unlatch latching pawls () of the resilient legs () from corresponding latch portions of the connector housing (), whereby the checker () is allowed to be removed out of the connector housing ().

Quick connector and checker

A connecting portion of a quick connector is provided with a pair of stop arms. Each of the stop arms has an arm body that integrally includes an overhanging stop portion and an engaging pawl on a leading end portion thereof. The connecting portion is inserted in a connecting hole formed in a fluid line component until the engaging pawl engages with an outwardly directed engaging projection of a mounting portion that is provided on an opening portion of the connecting hole. A checker has a main body that is provided integrally with verifying portions. Each of the verifying portions is formed with a receiving recessed portion for accommodating the overhanging stop portion therein when the checker is disposed on an outer circumference of the mounting portion.

Connector device and checker

An inner peripheral surface of a tube connecting portion of a tubular connector housing is divided into a first receiving portion on one axial side and a second receiving portion on an opposite axial side by an inwardly directed annular parting projection. A first O-ring of one axial side and a second O-ring of an opposite axial side are disposed with intervening a collar therebetween on an opposite axial side in the first receiving portion. The first O-ring is made of FKM and the second O-ring is made of FVMQ. A third O-ring is disposed on one axial side in the second receiving portion. The third O-ring is also made of FVMQ.

Quick connector

A hose of low fuel permeability has a fuel permeability in a bent state with R50 not more than three times a fuel permeability in a straight state, R50 being a bent state where the hose has its longitudinal axis bent to form an arc having a diameter of 100 mm. Its low fuel permeability is achieved if the resin forming its inner wall layer has a melt viscosity falling within a certain range, which can be obtained by, for example, increasing the degree of polymerization of the resin, or grafting a specific side chain to the main chain in each molecule of the resin, or if the resin has a volume swelling degree falling within a certain range, which can be obtained by copolymerizing a monomer having fuel resistance, or blending a polymer having fuel resistance. The hose maintains its low fuel permeability even if it may be subjected to a large load of bending stress as when it is used to form a fluid conveying line.

Fuel hose of low fuel permeability

A corrugated or convoluted laminated tube has a wall formed by an outer resin layer formed from e.g. nylon and a thin inner layer of a THV terpolymer bonded to its inner surface. It is high in flexibility, etc., has a low fuel permeability and is not deformed by swelling with fuel.
