A platooning system for causing multiple vehicles to travel in a platoon includes: a management device configured to set an order of the vehicles in the platoon; a transmission device mounted on each vehicle and configured to transmit driving information regarding a driving state of the vehicle; a reception device mounted on each vehicle and configured to receive the driving information of at least one of the vehicles; and a control device mounted on each vehicle and configured to control an operation of the vehicle based on the driving information, wherein the management device is configured to arrange the vehicles from a front end to a rear end with respect to a travel direction in an ascending order of driving performances of the vehicles.

Platooning system

A vehicular display device includes an information display portion disposed on a housing provided forwardly of a driver's seat. The information display portion has a display screen disposed in opposed relationship to the driver's seat. The display device further includes a holder unit disposed rearwardly of the housing in opposed relationship with the information display portion, and a mobile terminal detachably retained between the holder unit and the housing.

Vehicular display device

A vehicular display system includes a mobile device having a mobile display part and adapted to be disposed in a predetermined position in a vehicle. The mobile display part is configured to display contents such that at least one of a display size and a display position of each of the contents is changed in accordance with positions of eyes of a driver sitting on a driver's seat in the vehicle with respect to a reference position in the vehicle. Preferably, the mobile device has an imaging unit for picking up an image and recognizes the positions of the driver's eyes and the reference position from the image picked up by the imaging unit. The vehicular display system may further include a vehicle on-board unit fixedly mounted in the vehicle.

Vehicular display system

A vehicular display system includes a vehicle on-board unit having a vehicular display part, and a mobile device having a mobile display part. The vehicular display part is fixedly mounted on a vehicle and configured to display vehicular information including at least a vehicle speed. The mobile display part is configured to display the vehicular information including the vehicle speed when the mobile device is set in position between a driver of the vehicle and the vehicular display part.

An on-vehicle display apparatus includes a display, a reflector, a rotation device, a manual operation device, an automatic operation device, a controller, and a memory. The manual operation device is capable of, during manual operation thereof, causing the rotation device to operate the reflector in a first rotation direction and a second rotation direction. The memory stores, in association with a rotation position stored in the memory, a rotation direction of the reflector rotated to the rotation position based on an input from the manual operation device. When the controller causes, based on an input from the automatic operation device, the rotation device to rotate the reflector and to stop the reflector at the rotation position stored in the memory, the controller causes the rotation device to rotate the reflector in the rotation direction stored in the memory in association with the rotation position.

On-vehicle display apparatus

In a vehicle night vision system, the display unit is activated only when an illumination level below the prescribed level has persisted for more than the prescribed period of time so that the display unit would not be activated when the low illumination level lasts only for a short period of time and the night vision system would not be required. Therefore, when the vehicle passes through a short tunnel during daytime, the display unit would not be activated and the vehicle operator is prevented from being unnecessarily distracted. On the other hand, when the vehicle passes through a long tunnel or when the sun has set and the illumination level of the road ahead is low, the night vision system is activated without fail, and assists the vehicle operator's vision.

Vehicle night vision system

A vehicle capable of turning a vehicle body with a relatively small turning radius and with a good operability in a turning operation. One of front and rear pairs of left and right wheels, to which a running torque produced by a vehicle driving source is not transmitted, is arranged for rotation concerning respective axes perpendicular to the ground. For turning the vehicle body, the one pair of left and right wheels are fixed at angular positions along tangential directions of an arc which passes the axes perpendicular to the ground of the one pair of left and right wheels. At these angular positions, a rotating torque is applied to the one pair of left and right wheels to turn the vehicle body substantially about the center point of the rotating axle for running the vehicle of the other pair of left and right wheels.

Vehicle equipped with turning mechanism

A four-wheel vehicle capable of permitting a driver to perform a turning operation with a good operability. One of front and rear pairs of left and right wheels, to which a running torque produced by a driving source is not transmitted, are rotated on respective axes perpendicular to the ground. The one pair of left and right wheels are rotated from straight traveling positions taken when the vehicle is running to angular positions along tangential directions of an arc passing the axes perpendicular to the ground on a neighborhood of a center point of a rotating axle for running the vehicle of the other of front and rear pairs of left and right wheels. As a left or right turn instruction is generated in response to a manipulation, motors are applied with a gradually increasing driving voltage, such that the motors apply rotating torques to the one pair of left and right wheels to turn the vehicle body on the neighborhood of the center point of rotating axles for running the vehicle of the other pairs of left and right wheels.

A control mechanism for controlling hazard warning and turn indicator lamps in a vehicle is combined with a control lever in the vicinity of a steering wheel for easy operation. When the control lever is angularly displaced in a first direction, an elevator (displacing member) is displaced in a corresponding direction. At this time, a movable contact is also displaced into contact with hazard warning fixed contacts, turning on a hazard switch to energize turn signal lamps in a hazard warning state. When the control lever is displaced in a direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction while in the hazard warning state, a turn switch is turned on, thereby electrically canceling the hazard warning state. The hazard warning state is thus automatically canceled upon switching from the hazard warning state to a direction indicating state.
