A battery device includes a battery pack, a circuit substrate which acquires battery information on the battery pack or controls charge and discharge of the battery pack, a switch including a first power element or a second power element, and a heat radiator. The switch is a device controlling input and output of electric power to and from the battery pack, and an exterior part of the switch is arranged away from the circuit substrate. The heat radiator is a member made of a material having thermal conductivity, and is in direct contact with or indirect contact via a heat conductor with the exterior part of the switch so that heat of the switch can be transferred.

Battery device

A control module is arranged side by side with a battery module. The control module includes a bus bar by which the battery module and an electric load are electrically connected to each other; a switch by which an electrical connection between the bus bar and the electric load is switched on and off; a current sensor by which a current of the bus bar is detected; and a shielding part. The current sensor detects current passing through the bus par by converting, to an electrical signal, a magnetic field generated by the current passing though the bus bar. The switch generates a magnetic field to switch over connections between the bus bar and the electric load based on the generated magnetic field. The shielding part is arranged between the current sensor and the switch.

Control module connected to battery module

A battery unit includes a battery module having a plurality of batteries that are lined next to each other, and a case that accommodates the battery module. An intermediate heat releasing member that is configured to release heat from a center position to the case is arranged in a center position, between the plurality of batteries in the battery unit.

Battery unit

A battery pack includes an assembled battery, a battery case, a first temperature sensor and a second temperature sensor. The assembled battery has three or more battery cells electrically connected in series with each other. The battery case has the assembled battery received therein so that the assembled battery is partially exposed to outside of the battery case. The first temperature sensor is provided to detect the temperature of a most-exposed one of the three or more battery cells. The most-exposed battery cell has a maximum exposed area to the outside of the battery case among all of the three or more battery cells. The second temperature sensor is provided to detect the temperature of a least-exposed one of the three or more battery cells. The least-exposed battery cell has a minimum exposed area to the outside of the battery case among all of the three or more battery cells.

Battery pack

A battery pack has a plurality of unit cells, a casing for accommodating the plurality of unit cells, and a base which is a part of the casing and has a heat dissipation wall and a first side wall disposed so as to be capable of transferring heat to the heat dissipation wall. The battery pack includes a stay disposed on the first side wall in the base and fixed to a vehicle-side member, and a switching device disposed so that released heat can be transferred to the heat dissipation wall or the first side wall. The switching device includes a first switching device and a third switching device having a smaller heating value than the first switching device has. The first switching device is disposed at a position closer to the stay than the third switching device is in planar view.

A control module is arranged side by side with a battery module. The control module includes positive and negative electrode bus bars which are electrically connected to positive and negative electrode input/output terminals of the battery module, respectively. The bus bars are mounted in a mounting part. The mounting part has first and second control-side ventilation holes through which air flows onto first and second battery stacks, respectively, in the battery module. The mounting part has notches in which at least one of the positive electrode bus bar and the positive input/output terminals and at lease one of the negative electrode bus bar and the negative input/output terminals are formed. The first and second control-side ventilation holes are arranged side by side in the lateral direction. The notches, the positive electrode bus bar, and the negative electrode bus bar are located between the first and second control-side ventilation holes.

A control module is arranged side by side with a battery module. The control module include a bus bar by which the battery module and an electric load are electrically connected to each other, and a switch by which an electrical connection between the bus bar and the electric load is switched on and off. The control module further includes a current sensor by which a current of the bus bar is detected; a control unit into which an electric signal of the current sensor is inputted, and by which connection switching of the switch is controlled; and a connection terminal by which the current sensor and the control unit are electrically connected to each other. A connection portion between the connection terminal and the current sensor is more closely disposed at a side of the control unit than a connection portion between the bus bar and the switch.

A battery pack includes battery cells, a fan unit that blows air for cooling the battery cells, a case housing therein the battery cells and the fan unit, a circulation passage in which the air blown out from the fan unit flows before being sucked into the fan unit and after exchanging heat with the battery cells, a heat exchanging part that is disposed downstream of battery passages through which the air circulating in the circulation passage as an circulating air flows to exchange heat with the battery cells and below bottom ends of the batteries, and a drain passage that leads to outside of the case for drainage, the drain passage including a drain opening formed in the case so as to be located below the heat exchanging part.

A battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells, case (housing), circulation path, and blower. The circulation path includes battery paths, inflow side space, outflow side space, and a path along the housing. The battery paths are formed by gaps between adjacent battery cells. The inflow side space distributes fluid to the inlets of the battery paths. The outflow side space gathers fluid from the outlets of the battery paths. The path along the housing is a path that is different from the inflow side space and outflow side space and extends along one or more inner surfaces of the case. The circulation path is formed such that at least one of a flow velocity of the fluid in the inflow side space and a flow velocity of the fluid in the outflow side space is slower than a flow velocity of the fluid in the path along the housing.

A battery pack includes a housing accommodating a plurality of batteries and a blower. A control unit manages the temperature of the batteries according to the battery temperature provided by a temperature detector. When the battery temperature becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined cooling required temperature, the control unit executes a cooling mode of operating the blower to cool the batteries. The control unit executes a temperature equalizing mode of operating the blower to equalize the temperature inside the housing by causing the fluid flowing through the circulation path even when the battery temperature is lower than the cooling required temperature and the cooling is unnecessary.

A battery pack includes a plurality of batteries, a housing, a circulation path, and a blower. The circulation path includes a bottom wall side path formed between lower faces of the batteries and a bottom wall which is the bottom side of the housing. The bottom wall is provided with a plurality of beams arranged in parallel for reinforcing the housing, and the batteries are arranged on the beams. The bottom wall side path is formed as a space surrounded by the lower faces of the batteries, the bottom wall, and the beam. The width of the bottom wall side path formed between adjacent beams is set to be larger than the width of one beam.

A power source apparatus includes a plurality of batteries, a chassis having an inner space surrounded by a plurality of wall surfaces including a first lateral wall surface, a first vertical wall surface, a second lateral wall surface, a second vertical wall surface and storing the batteries in the inner space, and a blower having a blowing portion to blow air. The power source apparatus further includes an air introduction path formed between the first lateral wall surface and the batteries and configured to introduce the air to the batteries. The blowing portion is arranged between the batteries and the second lateral wall surface and is closer to the second vertical wall surface than to a position at which the separation distance is maximized.

Power source apparatus and work machine having the same

The battery pack includes a base having a heat dissipation wall, a switching device for controlling current having a plurality of electrode terminals, being disposed so as to be capable of transferring released heat to the heat dissipation wall, and a bus bar having a connection terminal that is connected to the switching device or a unit cell so as to enable energization. The connection terminal is disposed so as to be positioned in an area corresponding to a width of the switching device in a direction in which the electrode terminals are arranged in line and in an area extending to a periphery of the switching device in a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the electrode terminals are arranged in line.

A power source apparatus includes a plurality of batteries, a blower having a blowing portion arranged on one side of the batteries, the blower being configured to blow air from the blowing portion, a chassis having an inner space surrounded by a plurality of wall surfaces that include a first wall surface and a second wall surface and storing the batteries in the inner space. The power source apparatus includes an air introduction path formed between the first wall surface and the batteries, the air introduction path being configured to introduce the air to the batteries, and a flow path formed between the second wall surface and the batteries, the flow path being configured to introduce the air blown from the blower to the air introduction path, the air introduction path having at least partially a first cross-sectional area larger than a second cross-sectional area of the flow path.

A battery pack includes: a battery assembly including a plurality of batteries; a fluid drive member driving a fluid which cools the battery assembly; a housing that houses the battery assembly and the fluid drive member; and a beam provided integrally with a bottom wall of the housing to support the battery assembly from a lower side. A circulation passage provided in the housing includes: a first fluid passage between the battery assembly and a side wall of the housing; a battery passage between the batteries; and a second fluid passage downstream of the battery passage and extending toward the fluid drive member. The second fluid passage is surrounded by at least the beams, the bottom wall, and a lower end of the battery assembly.
