An image recording apparatus includes a first print head that discharges a first liquid that is cured through irradiation of light from a nozzle towards the recording medium; a second print head that discharges a second liquid in which a content rate of a tri-functional or higher polyfunctional monomer is different from that of the first liquid and that is cured through irradiation of light from a nozzle towards the recording medium, and is provided at a different position in the transport direction from the first print head; and an irradiator that irradiates the recording medium with light, and is arranged between the print heads in the transport direction, in which the irradiator emits light having directionality in a direction receding in the transport direction from a print head that discharges a liquid with a higher content rate from the print heads.

An electromagnetic wave irradiation device includes an irradiator which irradiates electromagnetic waves onto a liquid droplet which has been adhered to a recording medium, an irradiation controller which causes the irradiator to irradiate the electromagnetic waves periodically such that a frequency of an irradiation period in which the electromagnetic waves are irradiated is a predetermined frequency, and a time setting unit which sets a time ratio obtained by dividing a length of an irradiation time by the irradiator in the irradiation period by a length of a termination time during which the electromagnetic waves are not irradiated by the irradiator in the irradiation period to be a value of greater than or equal to 0.2 and less than or equal to 2.

Electromagnetic wave irradiation device and image formation apparatus

An electromagnetic irradiation device is provided. The electromagnetic irradiation device includes an irradiator which irradiates droplets that are attached to a recording medium with an electromagnetic wave, an irradiation control unit which causes the irradiator to periodically irradiate the attached droplets with the electromagnetic, and a frequency setting unit which sets a frequency of an irradiation period which is a period during which the irradiator is caused to emit the electromagnetic wave. The period may be set to be equal to or greater than 5 Hz, and less than 1000 Hz.

Image formation apparatus

A single-packaged central processing unit (CPU) is formed on a substrate for a particular application in a variable word length computer system that includes a program memory. A first semiconductor chip in the CPU is of a general purpose type and includes a plurality of elements interconnected, such as an arithmetic logic unit (ALU), a program counter, and a register. A second semiconductor chip in the CPU is mounted on the first semiconductor chip with their active surfaces facing each other. The second semiconductor chip is configured for the particular application in accordance with a particular program instruction set stored in the program memory. The second semiconductor chip includes a command register for receiving fetched commands from the program memory, a command decoder for decoding the fetched commands and for generating corresponding control signals, and a timing generator for generating system clock signals. In one embodiment, the command register has a particular bit length for adapting to the particular application. In another embodiment, the command decoder has a particular bit length and the timing generator is configured to generate particular corresponding control signals for adapting to the particular application.
