An electrical connector includes: a conductive terminal including: a connector-side connecting part; a substrate-side connecting part; and an L-shaped bent part therebetween; a housing including: a terminal-holding hole holding the conductive terminal between the connector-side connecting part and the bent part; and an opening capable of exposing the substrate-side connecting part. The opening is used for connecting a circuit substrate. An alignment member is attached toward the substrate-side connecting part of the conductive terminal so as to close the opening. The alignment member is engaged with the housing in a state where the substrate-side connecting part projects from a through hole for inserting the conductive terminal therein. The engaging unit preventing the substrate-side connecting part of the conductive terminal from moving to the bent part, is provided between the conductive terminal and the through hole.

Electrical connector

A connector terminal includes a conductive bar-shape member, a plurality of concavities each formed as a groove provided in an outer circumference of the bar-shape member, extending in a lengthwise direction of the bar-shape member, and spreading toward an opening from a bottom, and a convexity formed between the adjoining concavities. A first surface is formed on the bottom of the concavity. A second surface and a third surface that form different inclination angles relative to a depthwise direction of the concavity are alternately formed on an internal wall surface of the concavity from the bottom toward the opening.

An connector terminal to be inserted into an opening of a housing, includes a first portion inserted into the opening such that the first portion is held in the opening, and a second portion outwardly projecting from the first portion, the second portion being formed at a surface thereof with at least one groove extending perpendicularly to a direction in which the connector terminal is inserted into the opening.

An electric connector includes a first housing including a guide shaft and a second housing including a guide hole into which the guide shaft is inserted. The guide shaft includes a main body, and a projection radially projecting from the main body, the guide hole being formed at an inner surface thereof with a groove into which the projection is fit. The projection and the groove are formed such that a first imaginary line intersects with a second imaginary line, the first imaginary line being defined by extending a contact plane at which the projection and the groove make contact with each other when the first housing rotates relative to the second housing, towards a center of the main body. The second imaginary line is defined as a line bisecting a top surface of the projection and extending towards a center of the main body.

An electric connector includes a housing to be fit into a second electric connector, a lock arm resiliently deforming when the lock arm makes contact with an engagement part of the second electric connector, and thereafter, returning back to its original position, when the electric connector and the second electric connector are coupled to each other, a first detection terminal for detecting whether the electric connector and the second electric connector are electrically connected to each other, and a unit for assisting the lock arm to return back to the original position, the lock arm, the first detection terminal, and the unit being arranged in the housing, the detection terminal including a first portion to be fixed relative to the lock arm, and a second portion to make contact with a second detection terminal of the second electric connector.

An electrical connector including a housing having first and second portions opposite to each other and provided on the second portion with an opening through which a flat circuit device is inserted in the housing along a direction extending toward the first portion and a mounting member fixed to the housing, wherein the mounting member comprises a base portion, a board connecting portion provided on the base portion to be connected with a solid circuit board which the first portion of the housing faces closely, an arm portion extending from the base portion into the housing, a locking portion provided on the arm portion for engaging with the flat circuit device inserted in the housing through the opening provided thereon to hold the same, and a manipulatable portion provided on the arm portion for protruding from the second portion of the housing to the outside of the housing, and the locking portion is operative to disengage from engagement with the flat circuit device when the manipulatable portion is manipulated under a condition wherein the locking portion is put in the engagement with the flat circuit device.

An electrical connector comprising a housing provided with an opening through which an FPC is inserted into the housing, a plurality of conductive contacts arranged on the housing for coming into contact with signal connecting terminals on the FPC inserted in the housing, and a conductive shell mounted on the housing and provided therein with a holding member operative to hold the FPC inserted in the housing and a releasing member extending from the holding member to be operative to release the FPC from holding by the holding member, wherein the holding member includes an engaging projection for engaging with an engaging edged portion provided on the FPC inserted in the housing and the releasing member includes a handle portion positioned on the outside of the housing to be handled for causing the engaging projection of the holding member to disengage from the engaging edged portion on the FPC inserted in the housing.

An electrical connector including a housing, first and second contacts arranged in the housing, each of which has a fixed part engaging with a board-shaped portion of the housing and an operating part movable to the fixed part, and an actuator movable to the housing for taking up first and second stations selectively, wherein each of the first and second contacts is shaped to have substantially the same space between the fixed and operating parts thereof or between the operating part thereof and the board-shaped portion of the housing when the actuator is postured to take the first station and a circuit board is not inserted into the housing. The actuator includes a plurality of cams each engaging with one of the first and second contacts, wherein each of the cams corresponding to the first contacts and each of the cams corresponding to the second contacts are different in shape from each other.

An electrical connector comprising a housing made of insulator, conductive contacts arranged in the housing and an actuator attached rotatably to the housing, wherein the conductive contacts are divided into at least first and second groups, and the actuator brings each of the conductive contacts belonging to the first group into press-contact with one of connecting terminals on a circuit board partially inserted into the housing in a first predetermined manner and each of the conductive contacts belonging to the second group into press-contact with another of the connecting terminals in a second predetermined manner different from the first predetermined manner so that a time difference is brought about between a first time point at which the conductive contacts belonging to the first group exert the maximum retroactive force to the actuator and a second time point at which the conductive contacts belonging to the second group exert the maximum retroactive force to the actuator.
