There is provided a method for manufacturing a slide fastener. At least one of a pair of right and left fastener tapes and a pair of right and left fastener element rows is colored in a plurality of colors at a predetermined interval in a longitudinal direction by inkjet while the pair of right and left fastener element rows are engaged with each other to provide a fastener chain. The pair of right and left fastener element rows are disengaged. One of the pair of right and left fastener tapes is moved in the longitudinal direction. And then, the right and left fastener element rows are reengaged.

Slide fastener manufacturing method

A continuous fastener element in a fastener stringer has a plurality of fine projections disposed on a circumferential surface of a monofilament continuously along a length direction of the monofilament and a plurality of recesses disposed between the projections. A cross-sectional shape of the projection is curved convexly, and a cross-sectional shape of the recess is curved concavely. A curvature of the convex curved surface of the projections is set to be larger than a curvature of the concave curved surface of the recess in a cross-section of the monofilament. At least the projections disposed on the upper and lower leg parts are twisted with respect to an extension direction of the upper and lower leg parts, and a plurality of the projections disposed on the upper leg part or the lower leg part in a twisted state face the same direction.

Fastener stringer and slide fastener

A fastener stringer, is configured such that a fastener element of a continuous shape includes a plurality of fine projected rims which are continuously disposed on a peripheral surface of the monofilament (); along a length direction of the monofilament and a plurality of fine concave grooves which are disposed between the projected rim and in a cross section of the monofilament, a cross-sectional area of a space region of the concave groove is set to be larger than that of the projected rim. With this configuration, when performing dyeing process employing a beam dyeing or a continuous dyeing method while appropriately securing the strength of the monofilament, it is possible to prevent dyeing irregularities and dyeing defects from arising. Further, when performing a coloring according to an inkjet, scheme, it is possible to finely form a desired pattern with clear outlines on the fastener element.

Disclosed is a fastener stringer where at least one surface of each of the fastener elements is colored. A plurality of fine fixing spaces is disposed on at least one surface of the fastener element which is colored. Accordingly, when a slide fastener is colored through an inkjet method, ink droplets ejected to the fastener element may be received by a plurality of fixing spaces and stably fixed onto a surface of the element. Consequently, a desired pattern or color can be continuously given to a fastener tape or the fastener element, and the contour of the pattern or color can be formed clearly and neatly.

A belt-like article has fastening elements continuous attached along an entire periphery of a long tape main body. The belt-like article further includes engaging means capable of engaging with/disengaging from each other, each of which has an engaging portion provided at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction of the tape main body. By winding the belt-like article spirally about an end portion thereof so as to engage the opposing fastening elements successively, a diversified types of the storage bodies can be obtained. Further, by engaging the engaging means with each other, the belt-like article can be used as a neck strap for hanging the storage body for accommodating an object. Therefore, the belt-like article is provided with not only an application as the belt-like article but also an application as a storage body for various objects, which are functionally related to each other, so that it can be used sufficiently for practical purpose.

A reinforcing tape for a slide fastener comprises a polyamide elastomer film manifesting a modulus of elasticity in bending in the range of 6,000 to 9,000 kg/cm and an adhesive layer. In a preferred embodiment, a polyester hot-melt adhesive is used for the adhesive layer. Preferably an intermediate layer having a thickness thinner than the thickness of the polyamide elastomer film and that of the adhesive layer is interposed between the polyamide elastomer film and the adhesive layer. In this case, a polyester anchor coat agent is used for the intermediate layer.

An elongated-strip-article processor comprises: a processing section for applying printing to a plurality of continuous elongated strip articles along conveying passages of the elongated strip articles by an ink jet printer; a conveying section disposed in a vicinity of the processing section for intermittently conveying the elongated strip articles by a predetermined length; tension adjusting sections respectively disposed upstream and downstream out of a range of the conveying passages including the processing section and the conveying section for adjusting tension of each of the elongated strip articles at a constant value; sensors respectively provided at the tension adjusting sections for detecting a length of slack of each of the elongated strip articles; and feed sections disposed respectively upstream of the upstream-side tension adjusting section and downstream of the downstream-side tension adjusting section so as to correspond to the individual elongated strip articles. Each of the feed sections is adapted to switch between a state of positively feeding each elongated strip article and a state of suppressing feed of each elongated strip article based on detection signals from the respective sensors. By the elongated-strip-article processor, a plurality of elongated strip articles on an ink jet printer or the like can be accurately conveyed with optimum tension for the respective articles.

A dyeing apparatus comprises a dyeing vessel adapted to contain a dyeing liquid therein, a rotary shaft rotatably disposed as laterally suspended in the dyeing vessel, an impeller adapted to flow the dyeing liquid in a direction parallel to the rotary shaft, and a reel for permitting an article for dyeing to be rolled up thereon, the impeller and the reel being attached to the rotary shaft. The dyeing of the article rolled up on the reel is effected by causing the dyeing liquid to pass by permeation through the article from the lateral terminal part thereof by the rotation of the impeller. The rotary shaft may be rotated reversibly during the course of the dyeing.

A full automatic coating system includes an endless metal tape driven to run in one direction along an endless traveling path, a product supplying station for automatically selecting products of a desired type and supplying them to the endless metal tape according to a production control procedure stored in a control unit, a coating station disposed in the traveling path downstream of the product supplying station and including a spray gun for selectively spraying one of coatings of different colors according to instructions received from the control unit, a drying and baking station and a coating removing station disposed in the traveling path downstream of the coating portion in the order named. All the components are linked to operate in timed relation to one another according to the instructions received from the control unit. The coating system thus constructed is compact in size, inexpensive to manufacture, and capable of automatically coating such a small quantity of products which conventionally required manual coating operation.

A method of treating a continuously travelling belt-like article with various processes in a tightly closed treatment chamber, comprising the steps of: introducing the belt-like article horizontally into the treatment chamber; guiding the introduced belt-like article up and down in a meandering path between an upper guide roller and a number of successive drive rollers in the treatment chamber while the belt-like article is being treated with the various processes, the guiding including firstly directing the belt-like article upwards via the first drive roller, twisting the belt-like article by 90.degree. in one direction, winding the belt-like article around the upper guide roller, then directing the belt-like article downwards and winding around the second drive roller, secondly directing the belt-like article upwards again, twisting the belt-like article by 90.degree. in a direction opposite to the one direction, winding around the guide roller, then directing the belt-like article downwards and winding around the third drive roller, and repeating the same sequentially in connection with the subsequent drive rollers; and discharging the treated belt-like article horizontally out of the treatment chamber.

A method of metering the rate of flow of a dye solution from a spray nozzle for dyeing an elongate fabric material comprises spraying a test liquid equivalent to the dye solution over a plate member impervious to liquid, accumulating the test liquid and measuring the rate of its flow per unit length of time, thereby evaluating the performance of the spray nozzle. The rate of flow of such test liquid is simulated for actual dyeing operation to pre-adjust the jet pressure of the spray nozzle and/or the spaced of feed of the fabric material so as to attain uniform intensity of color on the dyed material.

A color changing system for spray dyeing comprises a pair of washing tubs and a pair of spraying units. Each of the spray units includes a nozzle/nozzles, a feed pipe and a movable pipe. The spraying units are alternately operated to spray dye liquid onto a fabric strip, and are washed in the washing tubs to prepare for spraying new dye liquid onto the fabric strip.

In a steamer, a dyed long strip of fabric is spirally guided on guide rollers in a steamy atmosphere to develop and set dye colors, being brought out as a dyed product. A method of continuous changing dye-color in spray dyeing for a long tape, which is fed by guides continuously. According to a preferred embodiment, one dye-solution is sprayed for the tape from at least one dyeing-nozzle connected to one feeding line, which is either of a pair of feeding lines and which feeds selectively the one dye-solution or one cleaning-solution. When the tape is fed with a predetermined length, the spraying of the one dye-solution is stopped. Then, the one dyeing-nozzle is exchanged with at least one other dyeing-nozzle by turning the one dyeing-nozzle away from the tape and turning the other dyeing-nozzle to the tape for spraying another dye-solution. While the other dye-solution is sprayed, the one dyeing-nozzle, which was used for spraying for a proceeding sprayed portion of the tape, and the one feeding line, to which the one dyeing-nozzle is connected, are cleaned with the one cleaning-solution to prepare for spraying a new dye-solution. Further, at just one time when an undyed portion, which is produced by the exchanging of the dyeing-nozzles, passes through each guide, the dye-solution attached to each guide is removed so as not to mix into a following sprayed portion of the tape.
