A travel controller including an information acquisition part configured to acquire brake state information of a braking device of a host vehicle and an ACC-ECU configured to perform travel control, wherein the travel control includes constant speed travel control and headway travel control. The constant speed travel control is configured to control the host vehicle to travel at constant speed in accordance with a preset target vehicle speed. The headway travel control is configured to control the host vehicle to travel by following another vehicle travelling ahead so that a predetermined inter-vehicle distance in maintained with the other vehicle and the host vehicle travels in accordance with the target vehicle speed. In the ACC-ECU, when a braking performance index of the host vehicle has a 'declined value', a target acceleration of Example 1 takes a reduced value compared to the target acceleration of Comparative Example for a common distance difference.

During normal braking, the vehicle performs braking with the hydraulic braking pressure produced by the master cylinder, by controlling a linear solenoid of the vacuum booster in accordance with a command from an automatic driving electronic control unit. In a brake control system for yaw control in a vehicle, the conditions for starting a brake operation are that the absolute value of a deviation between a target yaw rate determined in a target yaw rate determining device and an actual yaw rate detected by a yaw rate detecting device is equal to or greater than a preset deviation value and that the absolute yaw rate is equal to or greater than a preset value. The wheel brake for an outer wheel, during turning of the vehicle, is operated by the yaw control system based on the deviation between both the yaw rates. However, brake control does not occur when both of the yaw rates are the same in direction and are large. Thus, yaw control is conducted immediately when necessary, but the conduction of unnecessary yaw control is avoided, thereby reducing the frequency of the brake operation.

A braking force control system of a vehicle, capable of independently controlling at least braking forces of front wheel brakes, a braking force of a left rear wheel brake and a braking force of a right rear wheel brake. The braking force control system includes front wheel-side controls for controlling the braking forces of the front wheel brakes on the basis of a quantity of operation of a brake operating member and a deceleration of the vehicle, and rear wheel-side controls for independently controlling the braking forces of the left rear wheel brake and the right rear wheel brake on the basis of a turning level of the vehicle. A braking force control system of a vehicle includes a deviation reference control quantity determining device for determining an operation control quantity for the actuator on the basis of a deviation between a target deceleration determined on the basis of a quantity of operation of a brake operating member and a detected deceleration of the vehicle. In this control system, the level of operation speed is judged in accordance with whether or not the variation per unit time in quantity of operation of the brake operating member exceeds a preset value. Following two states are switched over from one to another by a switch device: a state 1) in which the operation of the actuator is controlled with an operation control quantity determined in the deviation reference control quantity determining device, when it is decided that the operation speed is slow or low, and a state 2) in which the operation of the actuator is controlled with an operation control quantity determined in an operation quantity reference quantity determining device for determining the operation control quantity on the basis of the quantity of operation of the brake operating member, when the operation speed is fast or high. Thus, the generation of an overshooting can be avoided to improve the responsiveness.
