A printed circuit board apparatus comprises a printed circuit board. The printed circuit board includes a first and a second surface and a hole portion. A printed pattern is formed on the first surface, and a parts having a lead is mounted on the second surface. The printed circuit board apparatus also includes an eyelet and plural solder entering portions. The eyelet includes a curling portion and a head portion positioned on the first and second surfaces of the printed circuit board, respectively, and a cylindrical portion, connecting the head and curling portion, inserted into the hole of the printed circuit board. A plurality of solder entering portions are formed at equal intervals on the curling portion. From the solder entering portions, solder enters into space between the curling portion and the first surface face of the printed pattern surrounding the hole of the printed circuit board and the eyelet.

Printed circuit board apparatus

A CATV (cable television) signal transmitting system for use with a broadcast satellite system includes a receiving stage for receiving a broadcast satellite station signal consisting of base-band video signals and a sub-channel digital audio signals PSK (phase shift keying)-modulated on sub-carriers, demodulators for deriving the video signals and digital audio signals, first modulators for modulating the main carriers of a plurality of CATV channels by the video signals, a second modulator for modulating the main carrier of a different channel by the digital audio signals in time-division manner. The mixed output signal from the first and second modulators is transmitted through a CATV transmission line. A CATV signal receiving system is also provided to produce video signals and digital audio signals which are converted into a plurality of channels of analog audio signals.

Signal transmission system for a CATV system

A multiple display system is adapted to display data in the VIDEOTEX standard on a display formed of a plurality of display devices. The system comprises an encoder for generating a code on the basis of internal or external data supplied thereto, a plurality of decoders, each of which includes a central processing unit, successively arranged in series with respect to the encoder, and a plurality of display devices provided respectively corresponding to the plurality of decoders to thereby display a large image by the plurality of display devices. The encoder inserts an identification number in a predetermined portion of a data sequence. The plurality of decoders respectively select data with corresponding identification number, convert the selected data into a video signal, and supply respective display devices with the video signal.

Multiple display system

A lamp unit includes a pair of support members facing each other and three baseless fluorescent lamps supported parallel to one another by the support members. Each support member has three support recesses located at predetermined intervals. One end of each lamp is fixedly inserted into each corresponding support recess of one of the support member and the other end to each corresponding support recess of the other support member. Each lamp has a radiation window extending in the axial direction thereof. The lamps are positioned so that light beams emitted from the windows thereof intersect on a desired straight line.

Lamp unit

An incandescent lamp assembly has a generally elliptical vitreous envelope including a cylindrical neck, stem mount with a pair of lead-in wires, and a screw-in base capped on the cylindrical portion of the envelope. The cylindrical neck of the envelope has a circular protruded ring along the entire periphery thereof and in the corresponding position of the screw-in base is provided a concave channel, for a push-in coupling. A flared rim is integrally formed with the concave channel and extends gradually outwardly to bear along the envelope, giving elastic deformation to the upper half of the screw-in base. The lead-in wire is interposed between the cylindrical neck and the screw-in base and fixedly positioned at the circular protruded ring. For prevention of relative rotational movement, heat resistant silicone rubber is applied on the circular protruded ring.

Lamp assembly

A tracking control system used in video reproducing apparatus to keep the signal head on the parallel recorded tracks in spite of speed deviations of the recording medium has a bi-morph leaf to support the head. The bi-morph leaf includes piezo-electric material to which a control voltage can be applied to deform the piezo-electric material to the extent necessary to deflect the leaf in the proper direction and to the proper extent necessary to keep the head mounted on the leaf alignment with the correct track section. When the leaf reaches its maximum permissible deflection, the control voltage is reversed to shift the head in the opposite direction. In so doing the head either skips a track section, if the recording medium is moving too fast, or repeats playback of a section, if the medium is moving too slowly. If the apparatus is reproducing magnetically recorded signals by means of two heads mounted on separate bi-morph leaves to play back alternate track sections, the control voltages can be applied to the leaves to shift each of the heads in the direction of its gap length during an interval when it is not being used to play back a track.

In a video signal reproducing apparatus, a cantilevered bi-morph leaf is secured at one end to a rotary support, for example, a rotary portion of a guide drum about which a magnetic tape is helically wrapped, a transducer is mounted at the other end of the bi-morph leaf for reproducing a video signal recorded in one of a plurality of successive parallel tracks extending obliquely across the magnetic tape with the transducer being deflectable transverse to the direction of the tracks upon flexing of the cantilevered bi-morph leaf from a rest condition, and a damper is engageable with the other end portion of the bi-morph leaf for dampering free oscillations due to bending forces applied to such leaf.

A method and apparatus for cancelling remanent deflection in a piezoceramic head support means which is used in a video recorder that is operative in selected operating modes. In one of such modes, such as the reproducing mode, a tracking control signal is supplied to the piezoceramic support means, thereby causing the piezoceramic support means to deflect and to correspondingly displace the head supported thereby in a direction transversely of the trace which is scanned by that head. When the video signal recorder is changed over between selected operating modes, an oscillating signal is supplied to the piezoceramic support means for a predetermined duration, the maximum magnitude of the oscillating signal being less than E.sub.c, wherein E.sub.c is the largest magnitude of the tracking control signal to which the piezoceramic means responds. The magnitude of the oscillating signal is gradually reduced to a minimum level during this predetermined duration.

In a video signal reproducing system, a head-position control circuit includes a magnetic head scanning a magnetic recording medium for recording and reproducing signals in a recorded track thereon; a head-support member including a piezo-ceramic element supporting the magnetic head ona rotary part, for example of a guide drum; a rotary transformer having a primary coil in a stationary part and a secondary coil in the rotary part; a control signal generator for producing a tracking control signal which corresponds to the signal due to the mis-tracking of the magnetic head relative to a predetermined section of the recorded track, the head-support member being responsive to the tracking control signal to displace the magnetic head transversely with respect to the track section to maintain substantial alignment between the magnetic head and the track section; the tracking control signal being supplied to the primary coil of the rotary transformer; and a control signal processing circuit connected between the secondary coil of the rotary transformer and the head-support member.

System for reproducing a video signal recorded in parallel track

In a VTR for recording and/or reproducing video signals in parallel tracks extending obliquely on a magnetic tape which is wrapped helically on a guide drum, rotary magnetic heads are associated with the guide drum to move in respective circular paths which coincide with the guide drum surface and which are axially spaced apart on the latter so that the heads obliquely traverse respective longitudinal zones substantially equally dividing the width of the magnetic tape. The angular spacing between the heads and the angular extent of the guide drum surface about which the tape is wrapped are selected so that, when the heads are rotated for obliquely traversing the respective tape zones in a repeating cyclic order, the latter has at least one overlapping interval in which two of the heads simultaneously scan oblique tracks in the respective zones. In the reproducing mode of the VTR, signals reproduced by the heads from tracks in the respective zones and being scanned in the repeating cyclic order are sequentially combined and, during each overlapping interval, a comparator senses phase differences between signals reproduced by the two heads which are then simultaneously traversing the respective zones and provides a corresponding compared output. A head shift signal is generated in response to such compared output and is employed, for example, by application to a bimorph leaf mounting at least one of the heads, for displacing such head in a direction along the respective tracks scanned thereby so as to eliminate the phase differences.

A video signal reproducing system having a normal signal reproducing mode and a still signal reproducing mode includes a control signal generating means for reproducing a still mode control signal. A support means for supporting a signal reproducing means is responsive to the still mode control signal, whereby the signal reproducing means is maintained in substantial alignment with a recorded track of a recorded medium. Accordingly, the mis-tracking of the signal reproducing means relative to a predetermined recorded track is prevented, when the still signal reproducing mode is selected.

A reproducing system having a rotary magnetic head scanning video tracks recorded on a magnetic tape, a head deflector for deflecting the rotary magnetic head transversely to the tracks scanned, and a control circuit for supplying a control signal to the head deflector so that the rotary magnetic head scans the center of the video tracks. The control signal is produced by comparing the envelope of reproduced signals from the rotary magnetic head when one track is scanned with the envelope of reproduced signals when another track is scanned.
