A position conversion unit converts the received absolute position into a current position. The position conversion unit calculates a difference between a last received absolute position and an absolute position received immediately before the last received absolute position. The position conversion unit obtains the latest current position by adding the difference and a current position that was calculated immediately before the latest current position. If the absolute value of the calculated difference is greater than a threshold value, the position conversion unit determines that the last received absolute position has an error.
