A turbocharger for supercharging an internal combustion engine includes: a bearing housing which accommodates a bearing supporting a rotational shaft of the turbocharger; an oil discharge port for discharging lubricant oil stored in an internal space of the bearing housing; an air pocket formed in the oil discharge port or an oil discharge pipe connected to the oil discharge port; and a communication flow passage which brings the air pocket and the internal space into communication.

This exhaust gas bypass device and supercharger are provided with: an actuator () for moving a driving rod () reciprocally in the axial direction of the driving rod; a coupling rod () coupled to the tip section of the driving rod (); a support shaft () rotatably supported on a housing; a coupling link (), one end section of which is rotatably coupled to the tip section of the coupling rod () via a coupling shaft () and the other end section of which is fixed to the one end section of the support shaft (); a waste gate valve () coupled to the other end section of the support shaft (); and a damping member for damping displacement between the coupling rod () and the coupling link (), whereby reliability is improved by ensuring desirable operative characteristics.

Exhaust gas bypass device and supercharger

A ship powered by an internal combustion engine () and an electric motor () connected to a propeller () powered by surplus electric power obtained by a thermal discharge recovery system has a controller including a feedback control section for controlling a base amount of fuel injected to the internal combustion engine () based on the difference between the target number of rotation of the propeller given by the operator and the real number of rotation, and a feed-forward control section having a means () for calculating an overall power output and a means () for calculating a correction in the amount of fuel injected to the internal combustion engine based on the overall power output and the number of rotation of the propeller. The base amount of fuel is corrected by subtracting the correction obtained by the feed-forward section from the base amount of fuel calculated by the feedback control section whereby preventing a rapid change in the speed of the ship due to rapid change in ship loads.

A rotary gas recovery system includes a fixed adsorption tower (12) divided into a plurality of sections (12') arranged in the circumferential direction around a central axis and filled with adsorbent (11), a first manifold (14) on one side of the tower having opening (14a, 14b) for supplying and discharging gases to and from the fixed adsorption tower, a second manifold (15) having openings (15a-15d) for supplying and discharging gases through the first manifold, and a movable valve plate (16) slidably interposed between the first manifold (14) and second manifold (15) and having openings (16a, 16b) for sequentially connecting the openings in the first manifold with the openings in the second manifold by a continuous motion.
