To stabilize a friction coefficient of a dust seal member or brake-gap adjustment seal member to a piston in a disc brake regardless of temperature change. At least an inner circumferential surfaces of a dust seal member and a brake-gap adjustment seal member, attached to a brake caliper, are coated with a friction reducing agent.

Disk brake piston seal member and its manufacturing method

A fixing structure is provided for a motorcycle including a swing arm by which an axle having at either end thereof a drive wheel and a torque damping mechanism fixed thereto respectively is rotatably supported substantially at the central part thereof. The fixing structure fixes a driven sprocket to a transversely inner part of an outside constituting member of the torque damping mechanism. The fixing structure includes a plurality of fixing lugs projectingly formed at predetermined intervals on the outer circumference of the outside constituting member, and a plurality of fixing lugs projectingly formed with a predetermined width on the inner circumference of the driven sprocket to be fixedly fastened in a detachable manner with the fixing lugs of the outside constituting member, respectively. The inside diameter of each of the fixing lugs of the driven sprocket is larger than the outside diameter of the outside constituting member itself; the inside diameter of the driven sprocket itself is larger than the outside diameter of each of the fixing lugs of the outside constituting member; and the predetermined width is set smaller than the predetermined intervals.

Structure for securely connecting a driven sprocket to the driven axle

A motorcycle having a cantilevered type rear swing arm including a rear brake between the swing arm and the rear wheel. An air inlet is provided on one side of the other rear swing arm in a thin sidewall. An air outlet through a thick sidewall adjacent the brake allows air passage through the swing arm for cooling of the brake.

Brake device for a motorcycle

An anti-dive device for the telescopic front fork assembly of a motorcycle includes a contraction regulator mounted on the forward face of the bottom case. The bottom case carries the axle for the front wheel. Braking torque causes the movement of a member which movement is reflected through a bell crank assembly to close the valve in a passage connecting the two oil chambers in the front fork assembly. A bypass passage has an orifice member which may be moved to vary the size of a restriction in the bypass passage.

Front wheel suspension system for motorcycle or the like

A motorcycle frame and suspension system employing a backbone frame member extending rearwardly over an engine and then downwardly where it is associated with an inverted U-shaped center frame. Two pivot mechanisms for a rear fork are positioned in line with the ends of the inverted U-shape center frame and a cushion member is located therebetween. The cushion member is linked at its first end with the middle of the center frame and at its second end to a linkage mechanism fixed to move with the upward pivotal motion of the rear fork. The mechanism is so proportioned as to provide an increasing rate of upward motion to the cushion member as the rear fork moves upwardly. The two pivot mechanisms are not identical, one allowing axial sliding movement and the other not allowing such movement.
