The power supply device includes a low voltage battery, a high voltage battery, a starter generator, a DC-DC converter, a changeover switch, and a controller. When an abnormality or a failure has occurred in the DC-DC converter, the controller controls the changeover switch to connect the starter generator to the other battery without via the DC-DC converter and controls the output of the starter generator corresponding to the connected other battery.

A vehicle sailing stop control method is provided for a vehicle including a friction engagement element disposed between a traveling drive source and drive wheels, a torque converter disposed between the friction engagement element and the traveling drive source, and including a lock-up clutch for which a power transmission amount is controlled based on hydraulic pressure, and a hydraulic pressure source that can supply the hydraulic pressure while the traveling drive source is stopped. The vehicle sailing stop control method includes: performing sailing stop control so that coasting is performed by cutting off power transmission of the friction engagement element and stopping the traveling drive source upon a sailing stop travel condition being established; and, during coasting by the sailing stop control, placing the lock-up clutch in a power transmission state in which the hydraulic pressure is applied to the lock-up clutch.

A control device of controlling a vehicle that includes an automatic transmission is provided with a control unit. The automatic transmission includes a power transmission mechanism with an engaging element, and a variator connected in series to the power transmission mechanism. The control unit of this device completes engagement of the engaging element after downshifting of the variator is completed when at least an accelerator pedal opening becomes not smaller than a predetermined opening, during neutral running control which brings the power transmission mechanism into a power shut-off state during running of the vehicle.

A vehicle control device for controlling a vehicle includes a drive source and an automatic transmission connected to the drive source and including a variator. The vehicle control device includes: a first control unit configured to execute a during-travel drive source stop control for stopping the drive source and shifting the automatic transmission in a neutral state if a during-travel drive source stop condition is satisfied; and a second control unit configured to execute a during-travel drive source stop release control for shifting the automatic transmission in a power transmission state via a rotation synchronization control in the automatic transmission set in the neutral state if a during-travel drive source stop release condition is satisfied.
