A heat exchanger includes a plurality of principal heat exchange sections and auxiliary heat exchange sections. Each of the auxiliary heat exchange sections is in series connection to a corresponding one of the principal heat exchange sections. Tube number ratios of the principal heat exchange sections are obtained by dividing the number of the flat tubes constituting each of the principal heat exchange sections to by the number of the flat tubes constituting a corresponding one of the auxiliary heat exchange sections. Of the principal heat exchange sections, the first principal heat exchange section, which is the lowermost one, has the smallest tube number ratio. Consequently, discharge of liquid refrigerant from a lower portion of the first principal heat exchange section is accelerated during defrosting, thereby shortening the time required for defrosting.

Heat exchanger configured to accelerate discharge of liquid refrigerant from lowest heat exchange section

A refrigerant diverter diverts inflowing refrigerant and to cause the refrigerant to flow out to a downstream side. The refrigerant diverter includes a vertically extending diverter case, and a vertically extending rod-shaped rod member disposed inside the diverter case. The diverter case has a plurality of diverting channels disposed along a circumferential direction, a diverting space arranged to guide the refrigerant to the diverting channels, and a plurality of expelling spaces that communicate with the diverting space through the diverting channels, the expelling spaces being disposed along a vertical direction. The diverting channels are configured from a plurality of holes extending in a longitudinal direction of the rod member and integrally formed in the rod member.

Refrigerant diverter

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of principal heat exchange sections and auxiliary heat exchange sections. Each of the auxiliary heat exchange sections is in series connection to a corresponding one of the principal heat exchange sections. Tube number ratios of the principal heat exchange sections are obtained by dividing the number of the flat tubes constituting each of the principal heat exchange sections by the number of the flat tubes constituting a corresponding one of the auxiliary heat exchange sections. Of the principal heat exchange sections, the first principal heat exchange section, which is the lowermost one, has the smallest tube number ratio. Consequently, discharge of liquid refrigerant from a lower portion of the first principal heat exchange section is accelerated during defrosting, thereby shortening the time required for defrosting.

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of refrigerant tubes. In a flow divider, a part of a plurality of capillary tubes is connected to an open end portion on a side of a front tube plate, and a remainder of the plurality of the capillary tubes is connected to an open end portion on a side of a rear tube plate. The plurality of refrigerant tubes include even number refrigerant tubes constituted by an even number of heat transfer tube portions and odd number refrigerant tubes constituted by an odd number of heat transfer tube portions.

Heat exchanger with tube arrangement for air conditioner

A lower space of a first header collecting pipe of a heat exchanger is, by partitions, divided into three communication chambers and a single mixing chamber. The mixing chamber communicates with the communication chamber through a through-hole of a lower horizontal partition, communicates with the communication chamber through a through-hole of a vertical partition, and communicates with the communication chamber through a through-hole of an upper horizontal partition. Gas-liquid refrigerant flows into the mixing chamber, and is mixed in the mixing chamber. Then, the refrigerant is distributed to the communication chambers. Thus, the wetness of refrigerant flowing into a flat tube is uniformized among the flat tubes, and performance of the heat exchanger can be fully achieved.

Heat exchanger

A heat exchanger is provided in which a large number of plate-shaped fins are attached to outer peripheries of heat transfer tubes through which refrigerant flows. Three rows of heat transfer tubes are arranged along an air flow direction. An inlet side heat transfer tube in a case of using as an evaporator or an outlet side heat transfer tube in a case of using as a condenser has the smallest diameter. In a case where the most windward side heat transfer tube has the smallest diameter, a tube diameter of the most windward side heat transfer tube is D, a tube diameter of the middle heat transfer tube is D, and a tube diameter of the most leeward side is D, D&#x3c;D=D, 4 mm&#x2266;D&#x2266;10 mm, and 0.6&#x2266;D/D&#x3c;1 are satisfied.

Heat exchanger and indoor unit provided with the same

An air conditioning apparatus is provided with an adsorption element having a humidity adjusting side passageway configured to adsorb and desorb moisture by passage of adsorption air or regeneration air and a cooling side passageway through which cooling air passes so that the adsorption air is cooled by absorption of heat of adsorption generated during the adsorption in the humidity adjusting side passageway. In the air conditioning apparatus, air is humidified or dehumidified in the humidity adjusting side passageway of the adsorption element and is supplied to an indoor space. In order to achieve improvements in the cooling efficiency when cooling adsorption air by the use of cooling air in the cooling side passageway, room air, conditioned air, or mixed air which is a combination of room air and outdoor air is used as cooling air which is forced to flow through the adsorption element.

Air conditioning apparatus

Disclosed is an air conditioning apparatus which is provided with two adsorption elements (). The air conditioning apparatus repeats in alternation an operation in which the second adsorption element () is regenerated and, at the same time, air is dehumidified by the first adsorption element (), and an operation in which the first adsorption element () is regenerated and, at same time, air is dehumidified by the second adsorption element (). Additionally, the air conditioning apparatus includes a refrigerant circuit. The refrigerant circuit performs a refrigeration cycle in which a regenerative heat exchanger () operates as a condenser and a first cooling heat exchanger () or a second cooling heat exchanger () operates as an evaporator. For example, air, which has robbed heat of adsorption in the first adsorption element (), is further heated by the regenerative heat exchanger () and is introduced into the second adsorption element (). Consequently, the second adsorption element () is regenerated.

Air conditioning device

A humidity control apparatus is provided with two adsorbing elements. The humidity control apparatus alternately repeats a first operation for dehumidifying air in the first adsorbing element while regenerating the second adsorbing element and a second operation for dehumidifying air in the second adsorbing element while regenerating the first adsorbing element. The second air taken into the humidity control apparatus is formed of a mixture of room air and outside air. In the humidity control apparatus, a mixture ratio between the room air and the outside air in the second air is variable.

Humidity controller

A tornado type air intake and blowing device has an exhaust port communicating with an exhaust duct, an air supply chamber which is provided so as to surround the exhaust port and to which air is supplied through an air supply inlet, and air blowing ports blowing air supplied into the air supply chamber by swirling the air from the outer periphery of the exhaust port diagonally downward, the air blowing ports being provided in a side wall part of the air supply chamber, whereby the exhaust port can be formed in the entire area of the lower opening surface of the air supply chamber, the outside diameter of the air supply chamber is sufficient if it is equal to an outside diameter corresponding to the required opening diameter of the exhaust port and, accordingly, a device body can be formed compact.

Tornado type intake and blowing device

A suction and exhaust device wherein air is supplied as air curtain flow through air outlet ( ) while the air surrounded by the air curtain flow is sucked through suction ports ( ) to be exhausted. A supply space in the device is divided into two chambers, upper and lower, by a partition plate ( ): a first supply air space ( ) on the upper side into which air from the supply air duct ( ) is introduced and a second supply air space ( ) which spreads in the direction of the air outlet ( ). The first and second supply air spaces ( ) are communicated with each other through annular flow equalizing channel ( R, R) of small channel diameter vertically extending in the outer periphery of the suction duct ( ). This uniformalizes the flow rate distribution of the supply air flow from the air outlet and forms a stabilized air curtain flow.

An air intake and blowing device, comprising a blowing fan ( ) such as a turbo fan capable of blowing air in all directions which is installed inside a main casing ( ) provided with an air intake port ( ) and an air blowing port ( ) enclosing the air intake port ( ), the air blowing port ( ) being provided with a vortex flow creating member which creates a spiral blowing vortex air flow to form a spirally swirl-blowing air flow, and air surrounded by the blowing air flow being formed in a stable tornado flow and sucked strongly into the air intake port ( ).
