An imaging device in which an imaging sensor that captures an image and a display unit that displays the image are provided includes: an image processing unit configured to perform roll correction on the image; a control unit configured to control an output of the image; and a display control unit configured to display the output image on the display unit. The image processing unit performs the roll correction such that a degree of correction of the roll correction when the image is to be output to only the display unit is less than a degree of correction of the roll correction when the image is to be output to the display unit and an output destination other than the display unit.

An image pickup apparatus includes a movable unit that includes an image pickup unit having a lens and an image sensor, and a driver configured to drive the movable unit so as to change a direction of the movable unit. The driver is a vibrator whose vibration is excited by a piezoelectric element. At least part of an outer surface of the movable unit is a spherical surface, and the spherical surface includes a contact surface which the vibrator contacts. The contact surface is continuously provided in at least one section passing through a spherical center of the spherical surface in an area of a central angle of 180&#xb0; or wider around the spherical center on the spherical surface.

Image pickup apparatus

A movable unit driving apparatus which drives a movable unit by a motor, the movable unit driving apparatus includes a first detection unit configured to detect that the movable unit passes a first position; a second detection unit configured to detect that the movable unit passes a second position after the first detection unit detects that the movable unit has passed the first position; a first measurement unit configured to measure time from when the first detection unit detects that the movable unit passes the first position to when the second detection unit detects that the movable unit passes the second position; and a setting unit configured to set time from when the movable unit is detected to have passed the second position to when a brake is applied to the motor based on the time measured by the first measurement unit.

Movable unit driving apparatus

A filter adapter includes a stationary tube detachably mountable on a camera body in a state that it is externally fitted on a zoom lens barrel, a movable tube movably arranged in an optical axis direction with respect to the stationary tube and including a lens barrel pressing portion extending inwardly in a radial direction at a top end portion of the movable tube, to which an optical filter is detachably attached at an end portion of an object side of the lens barrel pressing portion, and an urging member configured to urge the movable tube toward the camera body. When the lens barrel extends to the object side, the lens barrel pressing portion is pressed against an urging force of the urging member by the top end portion of the lens barrel, the movable tube moves in an optical axis direction in conjunction with the lens barrel.

Filter adapter

An electronic apparatus that enables to realize, with a simple and inexpensive structure, a rotational operation mechanism having rotational operation members of an upper and lower two-tier configuration that can rotate 360 degrees independently from each other. An exterior member forms an exterior section. A tabular member is positioned in and fixed to the exterior member. A hollow shaft is fixed to the tabular member. A first rotational operation member has a shaft section slidably fit in an inner side of the hollow shaft, is supported by the hollow shaft via the shaft section, and rotates slidably with respect to the hollow shaft. A second rotational operation member slidably fits in a hole that pierces through the exterior member and rotates slidably with respect to the exterior member between the first rotational operation member and the exterior member.
