A deformable thin object spreading device and method are disclosed. The device includes a control part configured to: control a clamping unit and a moving mechanism to cause the clamping unit to clamp a first point of a deformable thin object; cause an endpoint detecting part to detect a first endpoint; control the clamping unit and the moving mechanism to cause the clamping unit to clamp the first endpoint; cause the endpoint detecting part to detect a second endpoint; control the clamping unit and the moving mechanism to cause the clamping unit to clamp both of the first endpoint and the second endpoint; cause the endpoint detecting part to detect a third endpoint; and control the clamping unit and the moving mechanism to cause the clamping unit to clamp both of the first endpoint or the second endpoint and the third endpoint of the deformable thin object.

Deformable thin object spreading device and method

A folding system for a fabric product is provided. The folding system includes an information obtaining device, a folding device and a width controlling device. The information obtaining device obtains first information held by a fabric product. The folding device includes a platen member, a width adjusting mechanism and a folding mechanism. The platen member is for holding the fabric product. The width adjusting mechanism adjusts the width directional length of the platen member. The folding mechanism folds the fabric product on the platen member. The width controlling device controls the width adjusting mechanism by using the first information obtained by the information obtaining device.

Folding system for fabric product

A mounting member, a rotation mechanism, and a plurality of plate-shaped members are included in a folding apparatus in order to simplify the configuration thereof, to make it easy to perform maintenance and repairs, and to reduce costs. The mounting member is a plate-shaped member wherein a foldable article can be mounted on a first surface so that part of the foldable article hangs down. The rotation mechanism rotates the first surface of the mounting member around an axis included in the first surface. The plurality of plate-shaped members are capable of moving toward the mourning member so as to hold part of the foldable article after part of the foldable article has been positioned in the vicinity of the mounting member due to the mounting member being rotated by the rotation mechanism.
