An antenna module includes dielectric substrates whose normal directions are different from each other, emitting elements disposed on the dielectric substrate, and emitting elements disposed on the dielectric substrate. The emitting element and the emitting element are capable of emitting radio waves of a first frequency band. The emitting element and the emitting element are capable of emitting radio waves of a second frequency band higher than the first frequency band. The emitting element is disposed adjacent to the emitting element in a case where the dielectric substrate is viewed in a plan view from the normal direction. On the dielectric substrate, the emitting element is disposed at a position that is farther from the dielectric substrate than the emitting element is.

Antenna module and communication device equipped therewith

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate, radiating circuits disposed on the dielectric substrate, a ground electrode, and a dielectric layer. In a plan view in a direction of a normal line of the dielectric substrate, the radiating circuit is disposed adjacent to the radiating circuit. The ground electrode is disposed to face the radiating circuit and the radiating circuit. The dielectric layer is disposed to cover the radiating circuit. The radiating circuit is capable of emitting an electric wave in a frequency band higher than that for the radiating circuit. A dielectric constant of the dielectric layer is higher than a dielectric constant of the dielectric substrate. A distance between the radiating circuit and the ground electrode is shorter than a distance between the radiating circuit and the ground electrode.

Antenna module and communication apparatus equipped with the same

An antenna module includes first and second dielectric substrates having different normal directions, and first and second radiating elements. The first radiating elements are disposed in the X-axis direction at the first dielectric substrate. The second radiating elements are disposed in the X-axis direction at the second dielectric substrate. The first radiating elements disposed in the X-axis direction are more than the second radiating elements disposed in the X-axis direction. The measurement perpendicular to the X-axis direction of the second dielectric substrate is shorter than the measurement perpendicular to the X-axis direction of the first dielectric substrate. The distance from a second radiating element closest to an end portion in the X-axis direction of the second dielectric substrate to the end portion is longer than the distance from a first radiating element closest to an end portion in the X-axis direction of the first dielectric substrate to the end portion.

Antenna module

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate including a plurality of laminated dielectric layers, a radiating element, a ground electrode, and a peripheral electrode. The ground electrode opposes the radiating element. The peripheral electrode is on a layer between the radiating element and the ground electrode and electrically connected to the ground electrode. The radiating element radiates a radio wave in a first polarization direction. A dimension of the ground electrode in the first polarization direction is shorter than a dimension of the ground electrode in a specific direction orthogonal to the first polarization direction. When the dielectric substrate is seen in plan view in a layered direction, at least a portion of the peripheral electrode is disposed between an end portion of the ground electrode and an end portion of the radiating element in the first polarization direction.

Antenna module and communication device equipped with same

An antenna module includes feed elements each having a flat plate shape and a ground electrode arranged opposite the feed elements. The feed element radiates a radio wave of a first frequency band. The feed element radiates a radio wave of a second frequency band that is higher than the first frequency band. In a plan view of the feed element, the distance from the center of the feed element to an end portion of the ground electrode in a first direction is shorter than or equal to ½ of a free space wavelength of a radio wave radiated from the feed element. A feed point of the feed element is arranged at a location shifted in a second direction from the center of the feed element, and the second direction is different from the first direction.

Antenna module and communication device incorporating the same

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate including a plurality of dielectric layers that are laminated, and a radiation element, a ground electrode, and peripheral electrodes that are formed in or on the dielectric substrate. The radiation element radiates radio waves in a first polarization direction. The ground electrode is placed so as to face the radiation element. The peripheral electrodes are formed in a plurality of layers between the radiation element and the ground electrode and are electrically connected to the ground electrode. The peripheral electrodes are placed at positions that are symmetrical with respect to at least either of a first direction parallel to the first polarization direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first polarization direction.

An antenna module includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a connection member connected between the first substrate and the second substrate, and an FEM disposed on the connection member. A radiating element is disposed on the first substrate. An RFIC for supplying a radio frequency signal to the radiating element is disposed on the second substrate. The connection member transmits radio frequency signals between the RFIC and the radiating element. The FEM amplifies radio frequency signals transmitted between the RFIC and the radiating element. The FEM is disposed at a position between a connecting point with the first substrate and a connecting point with the second substrate on the connection member.

Antenna module, connection member, and communication device equipped with the same

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate, a radiation electrode, a ground electrode, and a current-interrupting element. The radiation electrode is disposed in a layer of the dielectric substrate, and the ground electrode is disposed in another layer of the dielectric substrate. The current-interrupting element is electrically connected to the ground electrode. The current-interrupting element is configured to interrupt a current flowing through the ground electrode. The current-interrupting element has a first edge portion electrically connected to the ground electrode and a second edge portion left open and includes a planar electrode parallel to the ground electrode. The dimension of the current-interrupting element in the direction from the first edge portion to the second edge portion is about λ/4, where λ is the wavelength of a radio-frequency signal radiated from the radiation electrode.

An antenna module includes a dielectric substrate and a radiation element disposed on the dielectric substrate. The dielectric substrate includes a flat portion () and a flat portion () having mutually different normal directions, and a bent portion connecting the flat portion () and the flat portion () to each other. The flat portion () has a protruding portion partially protruding in a direction toward the flat portion () along the flat portion () from a boundary portion between the bent portion and the flat portion (). The flat portion () and the bent portion are connected to each other at a position where the protruding portion is not provided in the flat portion (). At least a part of the radiation element is disposed on the protruding portion.

An antenna device is formed by arranging a plurality of radiation elements each radiating a circularly polarized wave in a matrix of three rows and ten columns. The plurality of radiation elements include radiation elements of four types having a positional relationship rotationally symmetric with each other. The plurality of radiation elements are included in a first element group in which radiation elements are arranged in a matrix of three rows and three columns in one end portion side and a second element group in which radiation elements are arranged in a matrix of three rows and three columns in the other end portion side. A first center element disposed at a center of the first element group is an element of a type obtained by rotating a second center element disposed at a center of the second element group by 180 degrees.

Circular polarization array antenna device

An antenna device is formed by arranging radiation elements each radiating a circularly polarized wave in a matrix of three rows and four columns. The radiation elements include three sets of radiation elements of four types having a positional relationship rotationally symmetric with each other. The radiation elements are arranged such that adjacent elements are of different types.

A flexible substrate includes a dielectric having flexibility, a first line, a second line, and ground electrode. The dielectric has a first surface and a second surface opposed to the first surface. The first line, the ground electrode, and the second line are laminated in this order in layers from the first surface to the second surface. An antenna module includes a radiation electrode in which a radio frequency signal is supplied to a first feed point and a second feed point.
