[Object] A safe hydrogen storage tank in a highly reliable form where it is difficult for fatigue failure to occur is provided as a hydrogen storage tank where a cartridge is filled with a hydrogen occluding substance and contained within an integrally molded liner made of a metal. [Means for Achieving Object] A cartridgeis formed of a cartridge main body portion, a fixed side axial portionand a free side axial portion, and an integrally molded linerwhich is seamless is formed of a liner torso portion, a fixed side end portionwhere a fixed side openingis created via a portion in dome formand a free side end portionwhere a free side openingfor supporting a support plugis created via a portion in dome formin order to support a free side axial portion, in such a manner that the fixed side openingfixes and supports the fixed side axial portionand is sealed by a sealing plugwhile the free side openingis sealed by the support plug, and the free side axial portionis inserted into and supported by the recesscreated in the support plugso as to be moveable forward and backward in the direction of the axial line.

Hydrogen storage tank and manufacturing method for the same

A cylindrical reinforcing collar is fitted onto a cylindrical gas discharge section of a tank body and then engaged integrally on the exterior of the tank body between the cylindrical gas discharge section and the dome section by shrink fitting. This provides, easily and inexpensively, a high-pressure tank capable of withstanding high pressures of 35 to 75 MPa while keeping its lightness in weight.

High-pressure tank and method for fabricating the same

An annular fitting recess is formed circumferentially in the exterior of a tank body in the vicinity of the boundary between a dome section and a cylindrical gas discharge section of the tank body. A cylindrical reinforcing collar is fitted onto the cylindrical gas discharge section of the tank body to fit an annular boss of the reinforcing collar in the fitting recess of the tank body and then engaged integrally on the exterior of the tank body between the cylindrical gas discharge section and the dome section by shrinkage. This provides easily and inexpensively a high-pressure tank capable of withstanding high pressures of 35 to 75 MPa while keeping its lightness in weight.

In a high-pressure tankin which a gas discharge sectionis extended from one end of a cylindrical sectionthrough a dome sectionby plastically deforming a short hollow cylindrical blank of metal, the gas discharge sectionis set at a thickness at least three times that of the cylindrical section, and the dome sectionis gradually increased in thickness from that of the cylindrical sectionto that of the gas discharge sectionin proceeding from the cylindrical sectionto the gas discharge section. Thereby, a high-pressure tank capable of withstanding higher pressures than used at the present time is provided easily and at low cost.

A fuser roller is obtained by heating a blank over predetermined regions starting from both the opening ends, and then necking the heated regions of the blank by moving a forming roller with rotation on the heated regions through the external pressing of the forming roller against the heated regions of the blank being rotated on its axis to draw form sidewalls integrally at both ends of a cylindrical body of the blank, respectively, and draw form cylindrical shafts integrally with the sidewalls, respectively. In this manner, the fuser roller can be fabricated using a single processing machine with respect to a single pipe member, which reduces equipment cost, further enhances production efficiency and implements low-cost production of fuser rollers.

Method for fabricating fuser roller

To downsize a high-pressure tank apparatus comprising: a high-pressure tank in which high-pressure gas is charged; and a valve mechanism including a regulator valve for reducing the gas pressure in the tank, to prevent damage to the valve mechanism, and to facilitate the handling of the valve mechanism and the like, the valve mechanism is provided at a gas outlet of the high-pressure tank to locate inside of the tank. The valve mechanism includes a capsule fixedly attached to the gas outlet in a gas-tight manner to face the inside of the high-pressure tank. Within the capsule, a shut-off valve for providing and interrupting communication between the inside and outside of the tank by its opening and closing, respectively, and a regulator valve for reducing the pressure of the high-pressure gas in the tank are disposed.
