A millimeter wave radar-equipped headlamp includes a millimeter wave radar that detects an object ahead of a vehicle, and a lighting device unit that irradiates an area ahead of the vehicle. The lighting device unit incorporates an antenna module of the millimeter wave radar. The lighting device unit includes a projection lens, a light source, a reflector, and a shade. The antenna module includes a millimeter wave waveguide, and a millimeter wave reflection mirror. A reflection surface of the millimeter wave reflection mirror is formed by a spheroidal surface having a first focal point located in the vicinity of the opening of the millimeter wave waveguide, and a second focal point located forward of the rear focal point.

Millimeter wave radar-equipped headlamp

Herein disclosed is an automotive headlamp assembly of a so-called ventilation type. The assembly comprises a body structure having an open chamber formed therein, a lens attached to the body structure to cover the open chamber thereby to form in the body structure an enclosed chamber, an electric bulb arranged in the enclosed chamber, and first and second pipe members each having on end projected into the enclosed chamber and the other end exposed to the atmosphere. The other end of the second pipe member is so constructed and arranged that when a certain air flow passes through the other end, a negative pressure is produced around the same.

Automotive lamp assembly

Two or more crucibles containing different source materials to be vaporized are arranged concentrically, with their mouths open to a vapor chamber defined by an open top envelope within a vacuum housing. The vacuum housing is evacuated while the vapor chamber is held open. Then, with the vapor chamber closed, heat is applied to the crucibles as well as to the envelope to evaporate the source compounds within the crucibles. A substrate is held against the open top of the vapor chamber when the vapor pressure therein rises to a predetermined degree, thereby causing deposition of the vaporized source materials onto the substrate in the form of a crystalline compound film. As required, an impurity evaporator may also be provided within the vacuum housing for doping the compound film. The substrate having the crystalline compound film grown thereon may be moved from over the vapor chamber to a position over the impurity evaporator. As the impurity source is evaporated, the impurity can be controllably added to the compound film by vacuum evaporation.
