A circuit device includes: a first heat sink having a first upper surface; a plurality of first partition plates and second partition plates attached to the first upper surface; a sealing material; a first circuit component; and a printed wiring board. A normal direction of the first upper surface is along a first direction. The first partition plates extend in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The second partition plates extend in a third direction orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction. The sealing material is made to fill a space defined by two adjacent first partition plates, two adjacent second partition plates, and the first upper surface. The first circuit component is disposed in the sealing material. The printed wiring board is disposed on the first partition plate and the second partition plate, and is electrically connected to the first circuit component.

Circuit device

A cooling device to be provided is capable of being reduced in size, capable of cooling a heating component uniformly, having high radiating performance, and facilitating implementation of a work in a flat state. A first cooler body includes a first base plate and first blades. The first base plate has a first component mounting surface. A second cooler body includes a second base plate and second blades. The second base plate has a second component mounting surface. With the second cooler body maintained connected to the first cooler body, a rotary mechanism allows the second cooler body to rotate relative to the first cooler body between a state in which the first component mounting surface and the second component mounting surface are pointed to the same direction and a state in which the second blades get into gaps between the first blades without interfering with the first blades.

An object of the present invention is to synchronize PWM between individual phases of an IPM, so that the IPM has a simplified-scale circuit. An IPM according to the present invention includes a DC-DC converter including a multi-phase arm having a plurality of phase arms connected in parallel on a secondary side, a secondary-wire-voltage detection circuit configured to detect a secondary wire voltage in each phase arm of the DC-DC converter, and a synchronization-signal generation circuit configured to generate a synchronization signal in each phase arm on the basis of the behavior of the secondary wire voltage.

Intelligent power module

A voltage detecting circuit of the present invention is formed of a differential amplifier and an H-detection filter circuit, and the differential amplifier amplifies a potential difference between an input voltage and a primary-side voltage to obtain a differential amplified voltage. The H-detection filter circuit extracts low frequency components of the differential amplified voltage to output a detection voltage. A DC/DC control IC outputs, to a control electrode of a transistor, a PWM signal obtained by shaping a pulse width based on the detection voltage, to thereby control an on/off operation of the transistor.

Switching control circuit and switching power supply device

An object of the present invention is to achieve reductions in size and costs of a vehicle-mounted motor driving control board in a configuration which allows the redundancy of a power supply to be ensured. The vehicle-mounted motor driving control board is formed by one printed circuit board on which are formed two inverter driving circuits for driving two inverter circuits for three-phase motors, and a voltage step-up/step-down driving circuit for driving a voltage step-up/step-down circuit for supplying electric power to the inverter circuits. The vehicle-mounted motor driving control board further includes a first power supply circuit for supplying electric power to part of constituent circuits constituting the voltage step-up/step-down driving circuit and the two inverter driving circuits, and a second power supply circuit for supplying electric power to the remainder of the constituent circuits in the voltage step-up/step-down driving circuit and the two inverter driving circuits.

Vehicle-mounted motor driving control board

A semiconductor element is sandwiched between a lower and upper surface of a cooling body. A connection circuit and a communication device are provided on the lower surface of the cooling body. A drive circuit and a communication device are provided on the upper surface of the cooling body. These components are encapsulated by a resin. The connection circuit generates a control signal in response to a signal from outside. The communication device transmits the control signal. The communication device receives the control signal and supplies the control signal to the drive circuit, which drives the semiconductor element in response to the control signal. The resin electrically insulates the connection circuit and the communication device from the communication device and the drive circuit enabling prevention of breakdown of the connection circuit caused by an application of a high voltage from the drive circuit to the connection circuit.

Semiconductor device

A semiconductor device includes a first electrode electrically connected to an upper surface of a semiconductor element, a first internal electrode electrically connected to a lower surface of the semiconductor element and having a plurality of first comb finger portions and a first connection portion connecting the plurality of first comb finger portions together, a second electrode electrically connected to the first internal electrode, a second internal electrode electrically connected to a lower surface of the first electrode and having a plurality of second comb finger portions and a second connection portion connecting the plurality of second comb finger portions together, the plurality of second comb finger portions being interdigitated with but not in contact with the plurality of first comb finger portions, and a lower dielectric filling the space between the plurality of first comb finger portions and the plurality of second comb finger portions.

A power supply apparatus includes: an AC generator including an AC generating section, and a rectifier for rectifying an AC voltage generated in the AC generating section, and outputting a DC voltage; and a DC/DC converter for converting the output voltage of the rectifier into a DC voltage having a different voltage value, wherein the output voltage of the rectifier is set to be larger than the output voltage of the DC/DC converter in accordance with the rotation speed of the AC generating section and the amount of power supply to an electrical load connected to the DC/DC converter, and is stepped down and outputted by using the DC/DC converter. The power supply apparatus is capable of increasing an output power efficiently.

Power supply apparatus

To obtain a gate driving circuit in which rising of a constant current of a constant current circuit is fast and power saving is achieved, the gate driving circuit includes: a constant current driving circuit () for supplying a constant current; a gate terminal of a power semiconductor element (), which is connected to an output terminal of the constant current driving circuit; a comparator () for comparing a voltage at the gate terminal with a predetermined voltage value and outputting a signal indicating that the voltage is higher than the predetermined voltage value; and a driving control section () for increasing a current from the constant current driving circuit in response to a signal for turning on the power semiconductor element, and reducing the current from the constant current driving circuit in response to the signal from the comparator.

Gate driving circuit

A gate drive apparatus including a constant-current-pulse gate drive circuit which creates a gate signal for a switching device as a constant-current output, a constant-voltage-pulse gate drive circuit which creates the gate signal as a constant-voltage output, and a decision/switch circuit which switches the operation of the constant-current-pulse gate drive circuit and the operation of the constant-voltage-pulse gate drive circuit. The variance of switching speeds attributed to the variances of threshold voltages and mirror voltages in a plurality of switching devices which are driven by the gate drive apparatus can be suppressed, and the variance of losses can be minimized.

This invention provides a power unit for an automobile including a motorfor starting an engine by transmitting a power thereto and generating a power by receiving a power from the engine during rotation thereof, a power converting circuitfor transmitting a power to the motor, a battery, an energy storing sourcefor storing energy, and a DC/DC converter including at least two switching elements, charging the energy storing source, and recovering energy in the energy storing sourceto the battery. Since the switch provided in the DC/DC converter is normally turned on when the motorgenerates power by receiving a power from the engine and charges the batterythrough the power converting circuitand the DC/DC converter, generation of heat from the DC/DC converter circuit part can be suppressed greatly.

In a reset period, through applying a rectangular pulse (Pya) of positive polarity to an electrode (Y) and applying a CR pulse (Pxa) of negative polarity to an electrode X, a full lighting pulse is applied between the electrodes (X and Y). The application of the voltage is stopped before a CR pulse (Pxc) reaches a final potential, to generate the pulse (Pxa). A full erase pulse (Pxb) made of a CR pulse having a polarity reverse to that of the pulse (Pxa) is applied to the electrode (X). An erase operation reverses the polarity of wall charges accumulated by a full lighting to effectively perform a potential control operation. The potential control pulse (Pxc) is applied to the electrode (X) to generate a discharge, and the state of the wall charges in a discharge cell is controlled by the discharge to generate an optimal amount of wall charges for a subsequent addressing discharge. The final voltage of the pulse (Pxc) is set equal to a voltage (&minus;Vxg) of an address pulse (Pa). Thus, it is possible to generate a plurality of pulses and stabilize an operation of a PDP with a simple constitution.

Charge accumulated in a capacitor is used to provide a processing current flow between a target and an electrode. When a diode is turned on, a first dc power supply is used to provide the processing current flow between the target and the electrode. In this state, after a lapse of a predetermined time, the current supply using the first dc power supply is stopped, and an induced electromotive voltage, induced by two floating reactors, is used to rapidly drop the processing current flowing between the target and the electrode, while charging the capacitor.
