An improved combined weighing apparatus is provided for weighing vegetables and fruits, confectionary articles, secondary products, perishables and other articles having high variations in single weight with high accuracy to produce packages having a predetermined weight. System for measurement of feeded products and for combination of weights which is equal or most approximate to the target value are improved in a way to eliminate the dead time of combining operation during weighing time for increasing the speed of combining operation while maintaining high accuracy.

Combined weighing apparatus

This invention relates to an improvement of a control system for a combined weighing apparatus which in more detail includes a plurality of measuring hoppers supplied with products to be measured from transfer means for measuring weights of the products to select a weight equal to or near to a set weight from any combinations of the measured weights, and more particularly to an improvement of a condition-setting system and a measuring hopper combination-selecting system capable of remarkably facilitating setting of data of set weight, transfer conditons and the like by means of the condition-setting system when products to be measured are changed and capable of shortening the time for selecting a combination of measured values so as to enable the combination operation to speed up.

Control system for combined weighing apparatus

A measuring apparatus includes a plurality of measuring hoppers combined, and measuring means for measuring product to be measured accommodated in the respective measuring hoppers to select a set of a plurality of measured values equal or near to a set weight so as to permit the product of the selected measured values to be exhausted from the hoppers. This invention is intended to improve such a measuring apparatus, particularly a span adjusting mechanism provided at each of a plurality of the measuring hopper by raising or lowering all reference weights at one time. Moreover, the measuring apparatus according to the invention is capable of correcting zero points of the measuring means, while the product to be measured is accommodated in the measuring hoppers and is able to adjust a span which is a ratio of weight to output count of the measuring means in good timing in connection with the hopper selecting operation.

Measuring apparatus

A measuring apparatus for measuring various kinds of products irregular in weight such as vegetables and fruits, confectionery, secondary processed goods, perishable foods and the like with constant qualities. According to the invention, the apparatus comprises a distributing table supplied with the products to be measured, feeding troughs arranged about the distributing table to form a plurality of branched passages for the product, pool hoppers and measuring hoppers continuously connected to the respective troughs so as to permit the product on the distributing table to be introduced through the feeding troughs and the pool hoppers into the measuring hoppers, and computer means for selecting a combination of the measuring hoppers whose weight of product accommodated therein is equal or near to a set weight and opening the selected measuring hoppers to exhaust the measured product. The apparatus is remarkably improved in construction, particularly with respect to the transfer means for transferring the product through the apparatus.
