A vehicle seat that can suppress damage to an on-board object is provided. In each side frame of a cushion frame, an eccentric portion is eccentric outward in a right-left direction with respect to a base portion, and in each side frame of a back frame, an eccentric portion is eccentric inward in the right-left direction with respect to a base portion. Thus, when the load at the time of rear collision acts, each side frame of the cushion frame easily becomes deformed outward in the right-left direction, and each side frame of the back frame easily becomes deformed inward in the right-left direction. Accordingly, the deformation direction of each side frame of the cushion frame and the deformation direction of each side frame of the back frame can be easily made opposite to each other, and the deformations of the respective side frames and can be inhibited.

A trim cover fixing structure used in a vehicle seatcomprising a cushion bodyhaving elasticity and a trim covercovering the cushion body. This structure comprises engagement membersandanchored near the edge of the trim cover, and an fixing memberprovided with an engaging member (periphery) that engages with the engagement membersandexisting on the trim coverin a state covering the cushion body. The fixing membercan apply tension to the trim covercovering the cushion bodyby engaging with the engagement membersand, and in this state with tension applied, the trim coveris anchored to the surface of the cushion body. This trim cover fixing structure has a simple structure and low cost and can apply desirable tension to the trim cover, and furthermore is easily applied to a vehicle seat having a split rear seat structure.

A vehicle seat having an upwardly-foldable seat cushion that includes an engagement piece projecting from the rear end of the seat cushion and an under cover below the seat having an upper panel portion having an upwardly sloped surface. A forwardly-and-rearwardly extending guide groove formed in that upper panel portion which allows the engagement piece to be moved therein, without its contact with the upwardly sloped surface of the upper panel portion, when the rear end of the seat cushion is slidingly brought to a lower end of a set back. Ribs are formed in a bottom surface of the guide groove. The guide groove allows forward-and-rearward movement of the engagement piece therein, so that the engagement piece can be pressed against and frictionally engaged with the lower end of the seat back, without being caught by the upwardly sloped surface of the upper panel portion.
