An electric power transmission facility planning support system for materializing facility planning including the facility expansion of an electric power transmission network is provided based on the system information of a power system. This support system includes an output control quantity calculation device for deriving the output control quantities of natural variation power supplies in consideration of the operation limit value of the network; and a facility expansion planning device for making the facility planning based on one of the type, location, and capacity of an electric power transmission facility considering the output control quantities.

Electric power transmission facility planning support system and the method thereof

An object of the invention is to economically operate a voltage reactive power control device by reducing a transmission loss and reducing the number of tapping operations affecting the life span of a facility. Provided is a voltage reactive power control device including a central monitoring device that includes a loss prediction information output unit calculating a bus voltage on the basis of a generation probability of a power generation pattern, and outputting loss prediction information associated with the bus voltage from system configuration information, and includes a control amount determination unit determining a control pattern of the voltage reactive power control device from the loss prediction information. According to the invention, it is possible to economically operate a voltage reactive power control device by reducing a transmission loss and reducing the number of tapping operations affecting the life span of a facility.

A fuel injection control apparatus for an internal combustion engine which can inject a fuel injection quantity to a fuel injector with accuracy even when the fuel injection quantity is reduced than before is provided. A fuel injection control apparatus of a direct cylinder injection type of internal combustion engine, including a fuel injector which performs fuel injection by supplying a drive current to a solenoid, a fuel pressure sensor which detects fuel pressure supplied to the fuel injector, and operation state detecting means which detects the operation state of the internal combustion engine, comprises current profile changing meanswhich has multiple current profiles of the drive current and changes current profiles based on the operation state and the fuel pressure, valid pulse width calculating meanswhich calculates a valid pulse width for opening and driving the fuel injector, invalid pulse width calculating meanswhich calculates an invalid pulse width, and fuel injector control means which calculates a fuel injection pulse width based on the valid pulse width and the invalid pulse width, and controls the fuel injector based on the fuel injection pulse width, wherein the invalid pulse width calculating meanscalculates an invalid pulse width corresponding to the current profiles to be changed before the current profiles are changed.

Control apparatus for internal combustion engine

In a control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, when a fuel pressure detected by the fuel pressure detecting unit is not smaller than a threshold P_a, the value opening time duration of a injector is increased to a value larger than its normal value, such control as to stop fuel injection from the injector is inhibited, the low pressure fuel pump is stopped, thus quickly lowering the fuel pressure. After the fuel pressure is lowered, the valve opening time duration of the injector is returned to the normal value, and a discharge quantity of the low pressure fuel pump is changed on the basis of a difference between the fuel pressure detected by the fuel pressure detecting unit and a target fuel pressure.

Using a network in which one master station modemand multiple slave station modemare physically connected by rudder connection or bus connection with a telecommunication line, the measurement result of the S/N ratio between the master station and slave stations is once collected in the master station at the initialization stage, pairs of the modulation method, by which all modems can demodulate at high probability, and transmission voltage are calculated based on this data, and the calculation is transmitted to all slave stations; and at a normal transmission stage, information regarding the coordination and control of the network is transmitted in accordance with this setting. Thus, one-to-multi communication is realized, guaranteeing an access right.

An optical fiber coupler reinforcing member comprises an approximately rectangular member formed by a hard material, and has a flat surface along the longitudinal direction thereof. In addition, the shape thereof in cross-section is a hexagonal shape which inscribes a cylindrical member. Furthermore, a recess having a U-shaped cross-section is formed in the longitudinal direction of the above-mentioned approximately rectangular member and houses coupling section. The coupling section housed within the recess is fixed at both ends of the recess by an adhesive or the like. In addition, both ends of the inner wall surface of the recess have been given bevel sections. As a result, the optical fiber coupler reinforcing member having high reliability at low cost, with which the strength with respect to external force is improved and with which processability and the assembly operations of the optical fiber coupler are easy, are provided.

Guide wires and catheters made from a functionally graded alloy comprising 3-10 weight % Al and 5-20 weight % Mn, the balance being substantially Cu and inevitable impurities. The functionally graded alloy is produced by forming the copper-based alloy, maintaining it at a temperature of at least 500&#xb0; C. and rapidly cooling it, and then subjecting the alloy to an aging treatment by a gradient temperature heater.

It is an object of the present invention to enable quick, easy, and inexpensive connections even in a narrow area using an inexpensive device and an inexpensive optical fiber connecting element, thereby achieving high operability and high durability reliability. The functionally graded alloy having a composition comprising 3-10 weight % of Al, 5-20 weight % of Mn, the balance being substantially Cu and inevitable impurities has a first portion composed essentially of a &bgr;-phase, a second portion composed essentially of an &agr;-phase and a Heusler phase, and a third portion having a crystal structure changing continuously or stepwise from the first portion to the second portion. The functionally graded alloy can be produced by forming a copper-based alloy having the above composition, keeping it at 500&deg; C. or higher and rapidly cooling it, and then subjecting it to an aging treatment by a gradient temperature heater. Such functionally graded alloy can suitably be used for guide wires and catheters.

In an elemental analysis method of analyzing a sample as an analysis target using atoms generated upon dissociation of the sample, a plasma is generated using a gas serving as a plasma source to be supplied in a torch having a conical cylinder thereof. A sample flow obtained by evaporating the sample using the gas as a carrier gas or a sample flow containing a component of the sample is supplied to the plasma. The sample flow or the plasma containing the sample flow is changed into a spiral flow, and the component of the sample is dissociated. The sample is analyzed in accordance with the state of an atom generated by dissociation of the component of the sample. An elemental analysis apparatus is also disclosed.

A control system comprising two controller modules. The controller module includes an independent controller, a cooperative controller, an adjuster and a synthesizer. The independent controller inputs measured values xi of a system variable from a target system controlled by the current module. The cooperative controller inputs measured values of a control variable xj from a target system controlled by another module. The adjuster adjusts the gain of the cooperative controller 4 based on the control variable xi. The synthesizer corrects the output of the independent controller 3 by using that of the cooperative controller and effects on output reflecting the composition. Any interference that may occur between the changing system variables of the target system can be suppressed in a short time.

First cryopanel means is arranged to surround the sample, and first cooling means keeps said first cryopanel means at a cryogenic temperature during quantitative analysis so that said first cryopanel means adsorbs a gas present in said sealed chamber.

A method of roducing .gamma.-Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 magnetic disk medium of continuous thin film is provided, in which a deposition source is deposited on an opposed Al-alloy substrate by means of a reactive vacuum deposition technique and the deposited film is thermally treated so as to be the magnetic disk medium. As the deposition source, a ferroalloy containing about 1 to 10 at.% Ti and about 0.5 to 5 at.% Co is employed.

In the process of sputtering of an iron target in an atmosphere composed of a mixed gas containing a rare gas and oxygen, the oxygen partial pressure is regulated prior to both presputtering and main sputtering, by which ferromagnetic oxide Fe.sub.3 O.sub.4 is deposited on a substrate in one process. By setting the temperature of the substrate at 150.degree. to 250.degree. C, the coercive force and the squareness ratio of the oxide film is greatly enhanced. By using the oxide film as a medium of a magnetic disk storage, a magnetic recording and storage device of excellent characteristics can be obtained.
