A conveyance control apparatus includes a stacking base that stacks ejected paper sheets, a sensor that detects a paper sheet after the paper sheet is ejected according to job data before the paper sheet is stacked on the stacking base, a detection time measuring unit that measures sensor-on time during which the sensor detects the paper sheet, a storage unit that stores near-full-stack time for judging whether stacked volume on the stacking base enters into a near-full-stack state, a judging unit that judges stack state on the stacking base based on paper sheet information of the job data and a measured result by the detection time measuring unit, and a conveyance control unit that performs control to temporarily stop paper sheet feeding and then to feed predetermined number of paper sheets, when the judging unit judges that the sensor-on time is equal to or greater than the near-full-stack time.

A stencil printer includes a printing drum which has an ink-permeable peripheral wall and is rotated about a predetermined axis of rotation with a stencil master wound around the peripheral wall, a back press roll which associates with the printing drum to nip and convey a printing paper, and an internal press roll which is provided in the printing drum to be movable back and forth toward and away from the back press roll and pushes the peripheral wall of the printing drum toward the back press roll. An internal press roll drive mechanism moves back and forth the internal press roll between a first position where the internal press roll is held away from the back press roll and a second position at a distance from the first position toward the back press roll and is able to freely change the distance between the axis of rotation of the printing drum and the second position.

Black inverted noises in a white background due to resolution correction are reduced by an image processing apparatus which carries out image modification processing to invert at least a portion of a binary converted signal obtained from binary conversion of an image signal. An image signal S is respectively input to resolution correction means and using different correction amounts. The signal is then input to selecting means from the both resolution correction means. The signal output from the selecting means is input to binary conversion means and a signal S output therefrom is input to image modification processing means when image modification processing has been instructed, a control signal CNT is input to the selecting means and the selecting means output a signal with weak resolution correction from the resolution correction means using a small correction amount.

A stencil printing machine in which a stencil is sheared off of a continuous roll of stencil sheet to a length determined by a selected size of printing paper, mounted onto a printing drum, removed from said printing drum, and transported to and inserted into a used stencil container by a transport means, which comprises a stencil length specifying means which specifies the length of the stencil according to a selected size of printing paper when the stencil is prepared for printing, and a control means which controls an operation amount of the transport means, at the time the stencil is removed from the printing drum, in relation to the length of the stencil as specified by the stencil length specifying means. The control means may comprise a random access memory to record the data from the stencil length specifying mechanism. The operation amount of the transport means can be related to rotation angle of the printing drum, and operation of the transport means may be terminated by detection of a rotational angle of said printing drum at which said used stencil is completely transported and deposited into said used stencil container can be detected.

A stencil-making-type printing machine in which plural types of rotary cylindrical drums having printing regions of different sizes can be replaceable loaded, in which a stencil sheet provided in the form of a roll is cut according to the printing region of a rotary cylindrical drum loaded therein to form a printing stencil, and a printing operation is carried out with the printing stencil wound on the rotary cylindrical drum, and before a printing operation is carried out for a new original, a used stencil is separated from the rotary cylindrical drum and discarded into a used-stencil accommodating box by a conveying means. The printing machine comprises a control system which controls operating time of the conveying means depending on the loaded rotary cylindrical drum, thereby stopping the operation of the conveying means immediately after the stencil has been discarded in the accommodating box and surely accommodating the stencil in the accommodating box.

Sheet supply and transfer device for printers presumable of sheet size

A multiple feed detecting system is provided with a sheet thickness sensor which outputs thickness signals representing the thickness of a sheet to be conveyed, and a sheet size sensor which detects the size of the sheet to be conveyed as measured in the direction of conveyance. A detecting area is set according to the size of the sheet detected and whether multiple feed occurs is determined on the basis of sampling data obtained by the sheet thickness detecting sensor over the detecting area set.

In a stencil printer, a printing drum is provided with a clamp plate for clamping an end portion of a stencil master, thereby holding the stencil master on the printing drum. A paper supply mechanism supplies printing sheets to the printing drum in synchronization with rotation of the printing drum. A first motor drives the paper supply mechanism by way of a first transmission mechanism, and a second transmission mechanism is operatively connected to the first transmission mechanism to be driven by the first motor by way of the first transmission mechanism, thereby rotating the printing drum. A phase adjustment mechanism driven by a second motor drives the second transmission mechanism with the first transmission mechanism held stopped, thereby changing the relative phases of rotation of the printing drum and sheet supply operation of the paper supply means. A drum position sensor generates a detecting signal upon detection that the printing drum comes to a reference position. The first motor is driven to rotate the printing drum and is stopped upon generation of the detecting signal. Then the second motor is driven to rotate the printing drum to the reference position.
