A scroll type compressor includes a fixed scroll including a base plate and a scroll wall. The base plate has a main discharge port, a sub-discharge port, an injection port and a valve. The valve includes first and second arms and a valve base including an attaching portion. Each of the first and the second arms includes proximal and distal ends. The first and the second arms extend from the proximal ends on the valve base to the main discharge port and the sub-discharge port, respectively. The first and the second arms extend so as to come closer to each other at the distal ends thereof than at the proximal ends thereof. The injection port is disposed in an injection arrangement area that is an area located between the first and the second arms and expands larger on the proximal ends side than on the distal ends side.

A fluid machine for a vehicle includes a rotary shaft, an electric motor having a coil, a drive circuit, and a housing having therein a motor chamber and a circuit chamber. The housing includes a partitioning wall partitioning between the motor chamber and the circuit chamber and a peripheral wall extending from the partitioning wall. The partitioning wall and the peripheral wall form the circuit chamber. The drive circuit includes a circuit board having a surface and an electronic component mounted on the surface of the circuit board. A connecting terminal is disposed extending through the partitioning wall and electrically connecting the coil with the drive circuit. A mounting lug is formed extending from the peripheral wall so as to mount the housing to the vehicle. The electronic component, the connecting terminals and the mounting lug are disposed in this order in the radial direction of the rotary shaft.

A motor-driven compressor includes suction, discharge, and intermediate pressure housings. The accommodation housing includes a compression mechanism, which compresses refrigerant, and injection ports, which deliver intermediate pressure refrigerant to the compression mechanism from an external refrigerant circuit. The compressed refrigerant is discharged into the discharge housing. The intermediate pressure housing includes an intake port, which draws in the intermediate pressure refrigerant, an accommodation recess, which is connected to the intake port, and supply passages, which connect the accommodating recess to the injection ports. The accommodation recess accommodates the valve mechanism. The valve mechanism includes a valve plate, which has a valve hole that connects the intake port and the supply passages, and a reed valve formation plate including a reed valve, located between the valve plate and the supply passages, to open and close the valve hole.

Motor-driven compressor including injection port that delivers intermediate pressure refrigerant to compression chamber

An electric compressor is provided with a compression mechanism, an electric motor, a motor housing, discharge housing and an intermediate pressure housing. The compression mechanism has a compression chamber and is driven by the electric motor. The motor housing accommodates therein the electric motor and the compression mechanism and formed therein an injection port. The discharge housing has therein a discharge chamber into which compressed refrigerant is discharged. The intermediate pressure housing has therein an introduction port for introducing intermediate pressure refrigerant from an external refrigerant circuit and a communication passage that provides communication between the introduction port and the injection port of the motor housing. The motor housing, discharge housing and the intermediate pressure housing has a bolt fastening hole, and a bolt is inserted in the bolt fastening holes to integrally fix the motor housing, discharge housing and the intermediate pressure housing.

Electric compressor

A stator core includes an insertion hole that has an opening in an outer peripheral surface of the stator core and a bent portion in the stator core. A cluster block includes an insertion piece, which is inserted into the insertion hole via the cornered portion. The cluster block is attached to the stator core by engaging the insertion piece with the insertion hole.

Motor-driven compressor and mounting method for motor-driven compressor

A motor-driven compressor includes a compression unit, an electric motor, a housing that includes an accommodating chamber and a wiring connection port, a motor driving circuit that includes a substrate arranged in the accommodating chamber, wiring electrically connected to the substrate and extending out of the housing through the wiring connection port, and a resin sealing member fitted to the wiring connection port. The wiring includes a primary conductor, which has a first end connected to the substrate and a second end, and a secondary conductor, which is connected to the second end of the primary conductor and arranged outside the housing. The secondary conductor includes a wire portion and a sheath that is made of an insulating material and covers the wire portion. The sealing member covers the sheath and a junction between the primary conductor and the secondary conductor.

A motor-driven compressor includes a connector to which a first and second conductors are connected, and a connector case receiving the connector. The connector case includes a first case member and a second case member. A seal member is provided between the first and second case members. The first case member has a first sealing surface extending along the periphery of the first case member. The second case member has a second sealing surface extending along the periphery of the second case member and facing the first sealing surface. The seal member includes a main seal portion for sealing between the first sealing surface and the second sealing surface. The main seal portion has a first peripheral seal portion for sealing the periphery of the first conductor inserted therethrough and has a second peripheral seal portion for sealing the periphery of the second conductor inserted therethrough.

Scroll compressor with passage in the spiral wrap

A motor accommodating chamber accommodates an electric motor such that a rotation axis of the motor is substantially horizontal. The pressure in the motor accommodating chamber is equal to the pressure in a suction chamber. A connecting passage connects a bottom portion of the motor accommodating chamber with the suction chamber. Therefore, mixture of liquids having a lowered insulating property is prevented from staying in a motor accommodating chamber.

An electric motor includes a housing and a circular stator. The housing has an inner circumferential surface. The housing also has a first predetermined thermal expansion coefficient. The housing further has an elastic part. The stator core is pressed to an inside of the housing by tight fit. The stator core has an outer circumferential surface. The stator core also has a second predetermined thermal expansion coefficient that is different from the first predetermined thermal expansion coefficient. A void is defined between the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface so as to prevent the inner and the outer circumferential surfaces from contacting each other in a circular region. When the housing and the stator core expand or shrink so as to tightly fit each other due to a differential between the first and second predetermined thermal expansion coefficients, the elastic part corresponding to the void is elastically deformed.

Electric motor and electric type compressor

A compressor includes a discharge chamber and a retaining passage, which is located downstream of the discharge chamber. A control valve controls the displacement of the compressor in relation to the pressure difference between a first pressure monitoring point in the discharge chamber and a second pressure monitoring point in the retaining passage. A pressure introducing passage connects the retaining passage to the control valve. The pressure introducing passage has an opening to the retaining passage. An inlet member is located in the retaining passage to cover the opening. The inlet member has a pressure introducing port that functions as the second pressure monitoring point. The pressure of the refrigerant in the retaining passage is supplied from the pressure introducing port to the control valve through the pressure introducing passage. The inlet member easily alters the position of the pressure introducing port in the retaining passage.

Air conditioner

A scroll-type compressor having a stationary scroll and a movable scroll is provided. A compression chamber is defined between a stationary scroll and a movable scroll. A refrigerant introducing passage formed in the movable scroll for introducing a refrigerant from the compression chamber to a driving mechanism. The compressed refrigerant including a lubricant introduced through the passage is affective to lubricate the driving mechanism. The compressor may also include a sump to collect the lubricant leaving the driving mechanism. Collected lubricant is reintroduced into the compression region via a suction region of the compressor.

A control valve includes a valve chamber. A valve body is located in the valve chamber. A first regulator regulates the movement of the valve body. A first spring urges the valve body towards the first regulator. A sensing member divides a sensing chamber into a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber. The sensing member moves in accordance with the pressure difference. A regulator surface regulates the movement of the sensing member. A temporary chamber is formed between the sensing member and the valve body when the valve body is disconnected from the sensing member. The temporary chamber is connected to the second pressure chamber. A second spring urges the sensing member toward the regulator surface. An actuator applies a force to the valve body that is opposite to the force of the first spring and that of the second spring in accordance with commands from an external controller.
