A paper sheet bundling apparatus includes: a reel unit, in which a tape roll is set, configured to rotate the tape roll in a direction in which the tape is fed, and a direction in which the tape is wound; a tape transport unit, having a transport path provided between the reel unit and a tape bundling unit, configured to transport the tape, along the transport path, to supply the tape to the tape bundling unit when the tape bundling unit performs bundling, and to cause, when the tape bundling unit does not perform bundling, the tape to be in a stand-by state in which the tape is arranged continuously along the transport path; and specific operation execution means for executing, at a predetermined time, a specific operation of reducing tensile force in the tape arranged continuously along the transport path, when the tape bundling unit does not perform bundling.

Paper sheet bundling apparatus

Disclosed herein is a paper sheet processing deviceincluding: a hopper unitconfigured to take in paper sheets; a recognition unitconfigured to read serial numbers of the paper sheets taken in through the hopper unit; a databaseconfigured to store the serial numbers read by the recognition unit; and a control unitconfigured to process the paper sheets. The control unitsearches the serial numbers stored in the databasefor any duplicated serial number, and detects, when finding any duplicated serial number, that duplicate processes have been performed on a paper sheet identified by the duplicated serial number.

Paper sheet processing device

A money processing device is provided with a mode setting unit for setting a processing mode relating to a form of a process to be executed so that the mode can be switched between a mode for performing temporal retention and a mode for not performing the temporal retention, in response to a user's command, and is constituted so that, at the time of a process for depositing money or a process for withdrawing money, if the processing mode is set to the escrow mode, the deposit money or the withdrawal money is temporarily suspended, whereas if the processing mode is set to the non-escrow mode, the deposit money or the withdrawal money cannot be temporarily retained. Money processing device

A banknote handling apparatus is operable in a code management mode in which banknotes stored in a storage unit are managed based on codes of the banknotes read by a recognition unit, and in a count management mode in which the banknotes stored in the storage unit are managed by counting the number of the banknotes to be stored in the storage unit. The banknote handling apparatus is switchable between the code management mode and the count management mode.

Banknote handling apparatus

A banknote handling apparatus stores a code list in which codes of banknotes stored in a storage unit are arranged in order in which the banknotes are stored. The banknote handling apparatus reads the codes when the banknotes are sequentially fed from the storage unit, and checks a target group of the codes of N successive banknotes including the last fed banknote (N is a natural number not less than 2) against the code list. When the target group and a reference group of the codes of N successive banknotes in the code list match each other, the banknotes remaining in the storage unit after the feeding of the banknotes are identified by regarding one of the codes of the reference group in the code list as a boundary.

Banknote handling apparatus and banknote managing method

A money handling machine including a denomination-specific storing portion, money transport unit that transports money to a dispending portion and transport starting unit that causes the money transport unit to transport money stored in the denomination-specific storing portion. The money handling machine is instructed to dispense an amount of money, performs dispensing processing to bring the amount of money from the denomination-specific storing portion to the dispensing portion and performs dispensing limitation processing to prevent money determined not to be allowed to be dispensed from being dispensed. The dispensing processing includes starting the transport of the amount of money, and transporting money from the denomination-specific storing portion to the dispensing portion to replenish a shortage of money produced by the dispensing limitation processing. Thus, money that is not allowed to be dispensed is not dispensed, an accurate amount of money is dispensed and the dispensing processing occurs more quickly.

Money handling machine

The present invention provides a money depositing and dispensing machinewhich suppresses reduction in money stored in denomination-specific storing and ejecting unitsto be dispensed and prevents suspension of transactions due to a shortage of money to be dispensed even when unfit money is recognized in a dispensing process. In a dispensing process, normal money is transported to an outlet, and money recognized as unfit money is judged whether it is allowed to be dispensed to the outletbased on the kind of unfit money. Stained money of unfit money is allowed to be dispensed to the outlet, and unfit money other than stained money is disallowed to be dispensed to the outlet. Stained money is not rejected but is handled as money to be dispensed, and accordingly, reduction in money stored in the denomination-specific storing and ejecting unitsto be dispensed is suppressed, and suspension of transactions due to a shortage of money to be dispensed is prevented.

Money depositing and dispensing machine

A currency receiving/dispensing machine comprises a currency receiving opening, identifying means for transferring currency set into the currency receiving opening and for identifying the currency, a currency storing section for storing the currency in a predetermined place based on a currency receiving approving instruction and a result of identification of the identifying means, a currency dispensing opening through which the currency taken out from the currency storing section is dispensed based on a currency dispensing instruction, and mode designating means for switching and designating various operation modes, wherein the currency receiving/dispensing machine has two kinds of maintenance modes for carrying out maintenance and inspection of the currency receiving/dispensing machine designated by the mode designating means, the two kinds of maintenance modes comprises a first maintenance mode in which currency can not be taken out from the currency storing section, and a second maintenance mode in which currency can be taken out from the currency storing section.
