To provide a rotary inertia mass damper, which is capable of reducing an axial reaction force that is generated due to vibration having an excessive acceleration to the extent possible when the vibration is input, and of preventing breakage of the damper itself or a construction, provided is a rotary inertia mass damper, including: a first coupling portion, which is fixed to a first structure; a second coupling portion, which is coupled to a second structure; a screw shaft, which has one axial end connected to the first coupling portion and retained so as to be non-rotatable; a fixed barrel, which has a hollow portion for receiving the screw shaft, and is connected to the second coupling portion; and a rotary body, which is retained so as to be freely rotatable relative to the fixed barrel, is threadedly engaged with the screw shaft, and is configured to reciprocally rotate in accordance with advancing and retreating movement of the screw shaft relative to the fixed barrel. A torque limiting member is provided between an axial end of the screw shaft and the first coupling portion, and is configured to, when a rotational torque that exceeds a predetermined value is applied to the screw shaft, allow rotation of the screw shaft relative to the first coupling portion to reduce a rotation angle of the rotary body.

Rotary inertia mass damper

A vertical seismic isolation device includes: a fixed frame; a movable frame arranged on the fixed frame; a support guide mechanism which allows only vertical movement of the movable frame; and a restoration member which maintains a constant distance between the movable frame and the fixed frame. The support guide mechanism includes: a track rail provided on the fixed frame; a moving block assembled to the track rail through rolling elements; a support leg, which has one end coupled to the moving block and another end coupled to the movable frame, and converts vertical movement of the movable frame into a motion of the moving block; and an auxiliary leg, which is half as long as the support leg, and has one end coupled to the support leg at an intermediate position in a longitudinal direction of the support leg and another end coupled to the fixed frame.

Vertical seismic isolation apparatus

The damping device includes: a fixed cylinder that is configured to be fixed to a first structural body and formed into a cylindrical shape so as to comprise a hollow portion; a shaft member that is configured to be fixed to a second structural body, the shaft member being housed in the hollow portion of the fixed cylinder and having an outer peripheral surface provided with a helical thread groove; a nut member that is threadedly engaged with the shaft member, and converts an axial motion of the shaft member into a rotational motion; a rotor member that is formed into a cylindrical shape so as to cover the fixed cylinder and to form a cylindrical accommodation chamber between the rotor member and an outer peripheral surface of the fixed cylinder, and is rotated by the nut member; and viscous fluid that is sealed in the cylindrical accommodation chamber.

Damping device

The screw motion mechanism includes: a threaded shaft having an outer peripheral surface provided with a helical thread groove, the threaded shaft having at least one axial end coupled to a first structural body; a nut member held in a rotatable manner with respect to a second structural body which is movable in an axial direction of the threaded shaft with respect to the first structural body, the nut member being threadedly engaged with the threaded shaft; and a spherical joint for coupling the at least one axial end of the threaded shaft to the first structural body, the spherical joint including: a spherical portion; and a sphere receiving portion for housing the spherical portion. When assuming an axial force applied to the threaded shaft as a variable, a line of a rotational torque intersects with a line of a sliding torque in a graph.

Screw motion mechanism and damping apparatus using same

A QCM sensor including a sensor device, the sensor device having a crystal substrate, on both of front and rear surfaces of which a pair of electrodes are disposed so as to oppose with each other and the QCM sensor detecting and quantitatively analyzing components of a sample from either a variation in a fundamental resonant frequency or a variation in an impedance when a surface of one of the pair of electrodes is immersed into either a sample gas or a sample solution. The sensor device is arranged in a multi-channel structure such that four mutually opposing electrodes ( A through A, B through B) are disposed on both front and rear surfaces of the crystal substrate each electrode being arranged to enable a fixation of a receptor which is different for each component of a sample to be detected and quantitatively analyzed, whereby the QCM sensor detects and quantitatively analyzes once the components of one sample different for different electrodes.

QCM sensor

A damping device receiving viscous fluid in an annular gap between a housing and a rotary member within the housing and converting a dynamic energy of the rotary member into a thermal energy is provided. The damping device is constructed to make it possible to move a sealing unit for sealing the annular gap in response to a pressure of the viscous fluid, to change the volume of the annular gap to suppress an adverse affect concomitant with the pressure increase of the viscous fluid to the sealing unit and to enhance reliability and durability of the damping device.
