A high-pressure pump includes a pressurizing chamber forming portion, a suction passage forming portion, a seat member, a valve member, a cylindrical member, a needle, a movable core, a biasing member, a fixed core, and a coil including a winding portion. The coil generates an attractive force between the fixed core and the movable core when the winding portion is energized. The coil includes an outer cylindrical surface and multiple inner cylindrical surfaces that have different diameters. The multiple inner cylindrical surfaces are arranged in order of increasing diameter in a direction toward a pressurizing chamber. The movable core has an end surface that faces the fixed core, and the end surface of the movable core is located between a center, in an axial direction, of a smallest diameter one of the plurality of inner cylindrical surfaces and a center, in an axial direction, of the outer cylindrical surface.

High-pressure pump

A high-pressure pump includes a pressurizing chamber forming portion including a cylindrical inner peripheral wall that defines a pressurizing chamber, a plunger, a housing including a housing outer peripheral wall, a valve member, an electromagnetic driving unit, a discharge passage portion, and a fixed portion that is connected to the housing. The fixed portion has multiple bolt holes. The multiple bolt holes are arranged radially outward of the housing outer peripheral wall in a circumferential direction when viewed along a direction of an axis of the cylindrical inner peripheral wall. The high-pressure pump is virtually divided into a first region and a second region by a virtual surface on which axes of adjacent ones of the multiple bolt holes and an axis of the cylindrical inner peripheral wall extend. Both the electromagnetic driving unit and the discharge passage portion are located in the first region or the second region.

A high-pressure pump includes a pressurizing chamber forming portion, a discharge passage forming portion, a discharge seat member, an intermediate member, a relief seat member, a discharge valve, and a relief valve. The intermediate member includes a first passage that passes through the intermediate member between one surface facing a pressurizing chamber and the other surface facing away from the pressurizing chamber. The relief valve seat includes a second passage that passes through the relief seat member between the one surface facing the pressurizing chamber and the other surface facing away from the pressurizing chamber. At least one of the intermediate member and the relief seat member includes an annular recess that fluidly connects the first passage and the second passage. The annular recess is recessed from a surface of the at least one of the intermediate member and the relief seat member facing the other.

A relief valve device includes: a valve housing that includes a communication passage, which communicates between a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber, and a relief chamber, which is configured to communicate with the second pressure chamber; a partition wall that is formed in an inside of the valve housing and partitions between the communication passage and the relief chamber; a first valve member that is configured to block and enable flow of fluid between the first pressure chamber and the communication passage; a first urging member that urges the first valve member; a second valve member that is configured to block and enable flow of the fluid between the second pressure chamber and the relief chamber; and a second urging member that urges the second valve member.

Relief valve device and high-pressure pump

A housing of a high-pressure pump defines a passage communicating with a pressurizing chamber in which fuel is pressurized. The passage has an annular engagement groove which is radially outwardly concaved on its inner wall surface. A valve body is disposed in the passage. The engaged member is disposed inside of the passage wall. A valve body engaging member is comprised of a plurality of arc-shaped plate members, which form circular shape. The valve body engaging member is inserted into the engagement groove in such a manner as to be engaged with the valve body. A C-ring is firmly in contact with the plate members and biases them toward the engagement groove.

A housing has a compression chamber and a first passage, through which the compression chamber communicates with an accumulation chamber. A discharge valve is provided in the first passage and configured to open to supply fuel from the compression chamber to the accumulation chamber in response to increase in pressure in the compression chamber. A second passage is configured to communicate the accumulation chamber with the compression chamber via the discharge valve. A valve element allows fuel flow from the accumulation chamber to the compression chamber. A biasing unit biases the valve element to seat the valve element on a valve seat of the second passage. The sidewall of the valve element and the inner wall defining the second passage therebetween define a throttle midway through the second passage for restricting fuel flow from the accumulation chamber to the compression chamber.

Fuel pump

A volume chamber is formed by a valve member, an inner peripheral wall of a tubular portion and a bottom portion of a stopper when the valve member is engaged with tubular portion. A communication passage communicates between the volume chamber and one of an intermediate passage of a valve body and a tertiary passage of the stopper. The communication passage is formed at a location, which is spaced from a contact surface between the tubular portion and the valve member by a first predetermined distance and is also spaced from a contact surface between the bottom portion and the first urging member by a second predetermined distance.

High pressure pump

A holder device has an elastic member and contact members. The elastic member is curved to extend approximately along a major arc of curvature and is elastically deformable to change a radius of curvature thereof. The contact members are circularly arranged along an inner circumferential side or an outer circumferential side of the elastic member so that each of the contact members is opposed to the elastic member in a radial direction of the elastic member. Each of the contact members has a sidewall that is opposed to the elastic member in the radial direction and is curved along an arc of curvature. A radius of curvature of the sidewall is shorter than the radius of curvature of the elastic member in its natural state.

Holder device and high-pressure pump having the same

A hydraulic pump includes a housing, a seat portion, and a valve element. The housing has a compression chamber and a fluid passage. The seat portion is provided midway through the fluid passage. The valve element is located between the compression chamber and the fluid passage. The valve element is a closed-end cylindrical member having a bottom portion, a cylindrical portion, and an opening end arranged in this order. The cylindrical portion is located farther away from the seat portion than the bottom portion. The valve element is seated to the seat portion at the bottom portion. A stopper substantially closes the opening end when making contact with the opening end to regulate movement of the valve element.

Hydraulic pump

A movable portion is movable from a closed position, in which the movable portion is in contact with a valve element, to an opened position so as to supply fuel from a fuel portion to a compression chamber through a fuel passage. A drive control unit supplies of a small driving current, which is sufficient to maintain the movable portion at the closed position, to a coil portion so as to move the movable portion from the opened position to the closed position. The drive control unit switches the supply of the small driving current to supply of the large driving current in the course of the movement of the movable portion to the closed position by supplying the small driving current.

Fuel supply apparatus

A fuel supply apparatus includes a movable unit, a coil, a drive circuit portion, and a drive control portion. The drive circuit portion energizes the coil with a drive electric current of a first value such that the movable unit is displaced from an opening-side position to a closing-side position. The drive circuit portion energizes the coil with the drive electric current of a second value that is smaller than the first value such that the movable unit is held at the closing-side position. The drive control portion controls the drive circuit portion to change the drive electric current from the first value to the second value while the movable unit is being displaced toward the closing-side position based on energization of the coil with the drive electric current of the first value.

In a fluid injection valve, a valve needle and a moving core are installed in the valve housing to be slidable in an axial direction. The moving core has a through hole in which the valve needle is slidably inserted. A stopper provided on the valve needle moves the valve needle integrally with the moving core when the moving core travels toward the fixed core with respect to the needle valve. An elastic member biases the valve needle away from the fixed core, and a helical spring biases the moving core toward the fixed core. A spring seat supports one axial end of the helical spring in both of the axial direction and a radial direction of the helical spring.
