Provided is a pulse generation device capable of suitably adjusting and outputting a pulse pattern by a simple configuration. A pulse generation device () includes a radio frequency oscillator () that generates a carrier wave of a certain frequency, a baseband pulse generating unit () that generates a signal having a certain pulse shape at a baseband, a timing generator () that controls a timing to generate a pulse through the baseband pulse generating unit (), and a mixer () that modulates the carrier wave output from the radio frequency oscillator () using the pulse output from the baseband pulse generating unit (). The timing generator () can adjust a waveform of the pulse output from the baseband pulse generating unit ().

Pulse generation device

A pulse radar apparatus and a control method therefor are provided that can detect information about a target with a high degree of accuracy by allowing detection of target information at all times and updating a replica signal of a noise signal in order. When the number of sets of distance data n1 is determined to be more than the number of sets of all distance data Nr in step S, it is determined that target information detection processing is finished, and replica signal generation processing is subsequently performed. A variable gain amplifierconfigured to adjust a gain corresponding to a distance gate is used to be able to detect weak reflected wave from a distant object and to amplify a reflected wave from a short distance with a low gain. An offset noise from the variable gain amplifieris prepared together with interference noise and self-mixing noise in advance as a replica signal of unwanted wave and the replica signal is removed from a baseband signal in detecting the object T.
